Great value!
This isn't the fastest or most durable portable air compressor you could buy. What it is, is probably the most convenient, at a competitive price, and much better made than most auto parts/discount store compressors that will break after a handful of uses. I've had this compressor for about 4 years and had no problems with it. It tops off and fills truck tires, bike tires, and toys in a reasonable amount of time, and its pressure setting is pretty accurate (+/- 1 pound for most purposes). The duty cycle is reasonable for an air compressor at this price point. The best thing about it, is its flexibility - it can be used in cordless mode with a rechargeable battery, plugged into a 120V household outlet, or plugged into a 12V car power port/cigar lighter. I've never bought a battery for it since I always have the other two options available. I would recommend this item and buy it again.

Great auto tire inflator
Checking and inflating our cars' tires has always been a frustrating job for me, but this well-designed tire inflator promises to make it easier. It has a combination of features I haven't found on any of the more than several inflators I've used in the past including: a "leakless" thumb-press hose connector, quick inflation time, digital pressure display and automatic shutoff, AC power (if you have an outlet handy) and DC power (to run off your car battery if you don't), easy storage of power cord and inflation hose. Having struggled to neatly stow power cords and inflation hoses after use on other inflators I've had, I especially appreciate the last feature. It's easy to use the digital gauge to set this inflator to shut off automatically once the tire reaches reaches your selected pressure. Just be sure to follow the instructions to select the pressure and then wait until the gauge reads "0" again before you start the inflator.I like to keep our cars' tires at 36 psi (cold). After my first use, I'd say this inflator did a pretty good job of hitting the mark, based on my follow up with a digital tire gauge -- trust but verify always being a good idea. Anyway, I can't say for certain that it's always dead on re. selected pressure, which is why I'm giving it four stars instead of five for accuracy.

Works Great and Versatile
Works great and versatile. Lots of different attachments for variety and of uses including bringing it when traveling in case of a flat tire with the option to plug in a cigarette lighter.

The Compressor is fine and easy to use. Confusion with battery compatibility.
I will add to this review in the future. I have not yet had the compressor a full day and so cannot speak to its reliability or long term performance. My first impression is that it works as intended and the operation is fairly straight forward. It has all the basic things you need in order to inflate the majority of the things you likely have around the home. The three grey buttons are a bit small and tough to see in low light, but not so bad as to be a major ding against the product. I filled up an inflatable "donut" tube we use at the lake. It took less than a minute to fill it fully. Something to consider is that while the compressor has the ability to pre-select the PSI for the high pressure side used for inflating car tires, the high volume side does not share that feature. You will need to remain mindful while inflating pool tools and air mattresses. This part will be a bit of a rant and you may wish to stop reading here.My biggest beef is not with the compressor itself, but with the battery compatibility and my frustration with the parent company StanleyBlack&Decker. Many reading this may have already been aware of this, but hopefully this will helps others that do not. The issue being the lack of interchangeability with the original Craftsman 20vMax Lithium batteries and the newer v20 batteries. My experience has been that the old B&D/Craftsman 20vMax Lithium batteries work in Craftsman and B&D power tools with the 3 pin battery slots. The newer Craftsman v20 batteries only work in the Craftsman 4 pin battery slots. While Craftsman went to the 4 pin configuration, B&D did not. I was not aware of this change and so failed to notice that this Craftsman compressor has a 4 pin battery slot. I recently purchased a B&D 20v hedge trimmer and based on the historic interchangeability of these two brands, I figured I would be ok with this Craftsman compressor. But, instead being ahead of the game with the bunch of batteries that I already have, I now need to either obtain a new Craftsman v20 battery or get an adaptor. I do understand that there is a business reason why StanleyBlack&Decker does this, but I do not believe that it really serves its customers needs and especially those like me who own a mixed collection of their product lines. Clearly with all the adaptors that allow cross compatibility of tools between brands, battery interchangeability is something customers really desire. If you already have a bunch of B&D 20v Max power tools, B&D does have a version of this compressor.

Handier than a pocket on a shirt.
Why didn't they have this years ago? This thing is amazing for airing up tires around the farm or to carry with you in your automobile. The cord and hose holder are nicely designed. I bought a Black and Decker one also, because it's physically smaller to carry on motorcycle trips, but not near as nice of hose and cord storage as the Craftsman. It's nice to have the 12volt, 120volt, or the battery. It seems to run a long time on battery, it's not heavy, and looks well built. It seems to air up tires quickly, but I usually attach it while I'm doing something else and never really notice the time. So convenient and handy to use.

Great….I think I want another one.
Got this for my class A motorhome with commercial tires. They are large and require 95psi. I had my doubts but hopeful enough to purchase. This compressor works! I’ve put it through its paces including topping off all 6 tires while one was very low. Haven’t had any problems.
