Top-Tier Synthetic Gear Oil at a Budget-Friendly Price
I recently switched to Triax Synergy Gear Max 75W-90 in my vehicle's differentials and have been thoroughly impressed. The gear transitions are noticeably smoother, and there's a significant reduction in drivetrain noise. Its compatibility with limited-slip differentials and extended drain interval up to 500,000 miles make it a standout choice for both daily drivers and heavy-duty applications. Highly recommend for those seeking performance without the premium price tag.

Solid product for the price point
Good price. Just changed out the oil on both differentials on my 4Runner. Running smooth. So far so good. No complaints.

Decent limited slip gear oil for the price. Experiment around if needed!
As the title states. On a semi-tight budget, I was debating in between Valvoline’s full synthetic SynPower 75w-90 (GL-5), or Mobil 1 full synth 75w-90 (GL-5). The only other formulas that I typically see, are conventional or mineral-based GL-5 85w-90 gear oil, which is also sometimes LS prepped. All of these are mentioned to be “prepped” and supposedly already contain limited slip differential (LSD) additives/friction modifiers. I did my due diligence and added more (usually 3-4 fl oz worth), as the OEM manual for my Chevy/GM application, states to use ~3.3 fl oz of limited slip additive.I tried various conventional 80w-90 and full synthetic gear oils 75w-90, all GL-5; all disappointed mainly, except for one being Royal Purple’s Max Gear 75w-90, which was rated as both GL-4/5 (GL-4+) compatible. It would groan a tiny bit when moving the car on a cold start, but would then immediately quiet down as I started turning and driving the car off. This Triax full synth 75w-90 GL-5 gear oil is the only thing that’s come close to Royal Purple Max Gear 75w-90 GL-4+, as least in my experience. However, it still makes a lot more noise for longer than the Royal Purple formula; also with even having added EXTRA LS additive… I’ll update in roughly 6-700 miles, as a Chevy TSB says that gear oil changes can take up to 500+ miles before the gear oil and/or limited slip additive “works” and breaks itself into the rear diff, presumably the clutch packs?

Price point and quality
Been using Triax for year's in my trucks. Both this and their motor oil are great. Just completed a front and rear differential change on my 2018 Ram 3500 . Save yourself a bunch of money and purchase it.
