Great quality, Great price!

Great product at a great price! We purchased this for our son for his birthday and it has quickly become a favorite among the “big boys” too!! Easy to load and you can load multiple birds at a time. Easy to use pull string. Endless fun and great quality!

Unbeatable for 25 bucks!

Most of these throwers are basically the same, if you put it together right and set it up right they work fine, if you don't, you are in for a bad time.It took about 5 minutes to assemble properly (yup, even with directions and pictures I managed to put one of the parts on backwards and used the wrong bolt inside the spring). The main thing I can say is the unit needs to be stable to do its best work. I was using it alone with my foot on the back for stability which didn't work well at first, the unit jumped every time I pulled the cord and how much it moved dictated how bad the clay flight was. Then I moved over so that the front legs were hooked on a concrete parking barrier and I was standing with my foot on the back leg. Not only did it start working flawlessly. In fact, with every throw the legs dug themselves a little deeper into the gravel parking lot that I had been unable to stomp them down into at all making the unit more accurate and more consistent. After the first few awkward pulls of the cord with my hand I started standing on a fairly taught cord with my right foot and using my left foot that i had on the back of the thrower for stability to step on the string between the eyelet and trigger to release the clay. After a few minutes of that, I decided the foot 'pull' was the way to go so (as you can see in the pictures) i wrapped the string around the angle iron and now it works like a pedal. It threw consistent singles and doubles all day. The only clay it broke was one that slid out the back when I put my foot on the thrower before the legs properly set into the gound (I was using the highest angle)

Not a bad buy for 40 dollars

Me and a buddy from work got new shotguns and wanted to try them out shooting some clays. There isnt really anything local for us to try were we live so I ordered one of these launchers. It was not too hard to put together the instructions were ok, maybe needs a little improvement but ultimately were able to put them together. You can put up to two clays at the same time but they tend to slide down and not stay in place very well. The dimples it has for grip are not very good. I ended up putting some grip tape on it and it works pretty good. The string it comes with is short like really short but easy to fix. Another complain is the spring its kinda weak and had to tighten it up almost completely to launch the clays a decent distance. But because of that i had to hammer it into the ground because its really light and the force of the spring make it jump like crazy. Other than that it works well and at 40 bucks its a winner in my book.

Kids were busting clays within minutes

Had one years ago. This feels just as sturdy. Kids unwrapped it Christmas morning, along with their new .410 semi-auto. Took about 15 minutes to assemble thrower. No issues. We went outside and within two or three shots, the kids were turning those clay pigeons into so much dust. The thrower is consistent, which is important when teaching new trap shooters. You want to know where that clay is going so the shooter can predict its flight path. As i set the clay in the arm, i knew exactly where i was about to send it. That condistency is key. It throws doubles just as well. Just put a few more turns into the spring to account for the added weight. Path and separation very consistent. After a couple doubles, the kids were asking for two every time and they were busting them. Im really happy with this thrower.

Skeet Thrower and Leg Breaker

I bought the Champion Clay Thrower to use with my sons. I have hand throwers that I've used since I was a kid but wanted to try something different and theoretically easier. Better think again. Assembly wasn't easy but wasn't terrible. The instructions aren't the greatest because most of the instructions are in words and no real pictures, just bad diagrams. The reason it wasn't hard for me is because I have a mechanical background and plenty of tools. In use, the thrower latch mechanism is horrible. Where it latches, both surfaces are painted and tend to be slippery. This is where the leg breaker comes from on my title. The main spring is very strong and consequently makes it hard to cock. Because of the stiff spring, you have to get close to cock it but beware that you not have anything in front of or on the side of the thrower. The latch failed once on me and once on my son, striking us in the leg. It will throw 2 clays at once but not very well. Throwing one clay, we had pretty good success and used it for 50+ clays on our first outing.All-in-all, I wouldn't recommend this thrower. It is poorly constructed and the materials are questionable. The trigger string was frayed after our first outing and the latch mechanism bends and moves because of the poor design and cheap materials. China strikes again!

Compact. Light weight. Powerful.

If you are looking for a competition grade fully assembled thrower, this ain't it. If you want something super affordable and are willing to assemble and mount your thrower this thing packs a punch. Our 1st time out with this thing we mounted it to a spair tire and threw 400 clay in an afternoon. Most of the bolts came loose. I applied a little loktite to most bolts and cranked down on the locking washers. The next time out we spent a whole day with 15 of us shooting clay off this thing. We threw a 1000+ pigeon and only lost the eye bolt for the pull string. Everything else stayed right and tight. 3rd time out I had tacked a small pipe to the frame for the pull string and mounted it to a larger wheel. With some strategic crimping on the throwing arm we got that sucker throwing doubles like a dream. It's going to break at some point but I have already gotten my money's worth.

This thing is sweet!

Best price, works great! Depending where you put the pigeon in the arm it changes where it throws it. Throws far and throws doubles no problem. My buddy and I went through three and a half cases of clays the first time out it was so much fun. Each case is 90 clay pigeons btw in case you didn’t know and it worked flawlessly.
