This thing is insane. The quality of the scans are perfect! It does it so quickly. The software that comes with it is so intuitive and easy to use. The level of detail is amazing. Build quality is fantastic. Its so small and light. I cant recommend this enough. I am an absolute noob when it comes to 3D scanning and printing. This product is amazing to get started with. Its just pure magic.

This was my first voyage into 3D scanning. The value for your money is amazing. It is easy to use. The detail of scanned objects is good for 90% of what you need for. The build quality seems good. The functionality and speed for reverse engineering items that are scanned is amazing.

When I loaded the software to control the scanner I found that it was in dark mode. I can't use dark mode software because of my vision. I conferred with a support person via email and was told there was no light mode setting for the software, and that dark mode was better for my eyes, reduces fatigue, is modern looking, etc, etc, etc. The dark mode "design concept is common in professional 3D modeling, image processing and video editing software, which helps to improve the overall user experience and work efficiency." It does none of that if a person can't use it. I've been programming computers since 1972 and have never used dark mode and my eyes have never been tired even after 12 hours of hard coding. My efficiency has never been affected by light mode either. I use CAD and 3D printing software every day and none of those are in dark mode. Anyway, I couldn't use the software so I sent the scanner back the next day.I can't say anything about the scanner itself, except that it looked well-built. The tripod was a bit flimsy but I think it would hold up OK. The turntable is very lightweight. Had I kept the scanner, I would have replaced it.I'm updating my review as I've dealt with the customer support team regarding my refund, which was taking days to occur. I found them very responsive, easy to work with and they seemed eager to help me. They took care of the refund straightaway. Very helpful folks.

I'm new at 3D printing so I think it's user error. It's packaged very well. It set up easily, but I couldn't get an image to appear of the scanned item on my computer. The computer was old so I updated my desk top, but I still can't get a scanned image to appear on my computer screen. I just need to do more research, but the videos I watched showed how simple the scanner performed right out of the box. I'm hoping to rectify this problem. I waited too long to return it.

When I got my scanner it wouldn’t calibrate so I ended up returning it revopoint support is awesome they care for their product and their customers and they will do everything in their power to help you. I was having a problem with my scanner when I first got it. I didn’t have a really a lot of time to mess with it so I ended up returning it, but they were trying to figure out what was the problem I ended up just buying another scanner from Revopoint but I highly recommend Revopoint products because how they care for there customers.

Fast delivery, very nice product.

Randomly freezes during scanning. Started off sometimes now it is constant. After troubleshooting for a week nothing worked. Cannot get software to work properly and scans look horrible. Will not merge scans. Very disappointed. It is possible I received a defective scanner.

The media could not be loaded. This is a complete system allowing a person to scan/replicate objects with a good degree of precision. The system is provided with an optical scanner, mini turntable, tripod, cables, USB C adapter, a sample bust (model) and various reference objects. The overall process of scanning to replicating will take multiple steps and each step is it's own art form. Bottom line is achieving a high level of accuracy replicating the object being scanned will take practice. The vendor's listing provides an accurate description of this product so I'm not going to get into the nitty gritty details. What I will provide is an overview of my first shot at using the system - which I did without digging into available reference information. Personally I recommend reviewing all the videos and reference material prior to first use.My original goal was to quickly replicate the bust provided as part of this package. In the attached video the supplied bust starts to the left and my copy is to the right. Note there is some loss of quality in my copy because I used settings which allowed me to do this quickly with the least fuss. Also note some quality degradation was due to my $250 3D printer which I also set to quickly produce the copy. So what did I have to do to produce my reference project?First step was to unpack everything and take inventory. Provided is a small manual which provides a summary of the process and how to install the software. Detailed reference material is available online. Everything went smoothly on a Windows 11 system. I mounted the scanner on the supplied tripod and then proceeded to connect the camera (for power and communication) and turntable (for power only) to my laptop. Immediately the software recognized the camera. After a basic vertical and horizontal calibration it was ready to use. The basic instructions stress the importance to maintain tracking on the object being scanned. I elected to use none of the markers and simply put the bust in the center of the turntable. Positioned the scanner roughly 300mm from the bust and framed it within the software. Pressed the scan button and allowed it to scan a few revolutions. I noticed the top of the bust's head didn't scan completely so I thought I'd extend the tripod and allow the scanner to slightly look down on the bust and continued the scan. Doing this caused the software to momentarily lose tracking but it quickly re-oriented itself. After scanning the image Revo Scan (the software) processed it and I was able to save the output as an STL file. I then used OrcaSlicer to prep it for my printer. End result is the copy printed without any issues. With my level of expertise and desire for speed I'm happy with the result.This is a complicated product. Scans can be done handheld, using a tripod/turntable, using a cell phone, using a computer as a few examples. Connectivity can be accomplished via USB or even WiFi. Note when using WiFi (and not connected via cable) a power bank will need to be connected to the scanner (not supplied). WiFi connectivity is established by connecting (phone/computer) to the scanner's built in peer-to-peer network.My opinion is half the magic here is the scanner and the other half is the software. Everything was easy to setup and get going. The Revo Scan software makes it easy to stumble through the process for those who don't like reading reference material. This software not only processes the image but allowed me to perform some basic editing functions. One example, of many, is it allowed me to identify/fill any gaps in the image (which after scanning down on the head I didn't need any more).I'm really looking forward to becoming more familiar with this system.
