Quality HP Product
My wife and I have always used ink based printers. We cringed when we'd get the signal indicating 'low ink' because it meant we had to shell out another chunk of money for an XL cartridge that really didn't last that long. I knew that laser printers were more economical in that regard so kept that in the back of my mind for years. This printer came up as a special deal and it had pretty decent reviews. That was one of the things that prevented me from pulling the trigger on purchasing a laser printer in the past....always scary reviews about their function, quality, product support, etc.Made the purchase and although we've only had it for a few months now, we are loving it. Very easy to set-up, connects quickly and connection hasn't broken which seemed to be an issue for many products. It prints very well and quickly. We are very pleased with our purchase so far. It will be interesting to see how long the cartridge lasts. It supposedly has 3X the lifespan of our XL ink cartridges and its price-point is almost identical.

Good deal, easy to set-up and use
Great product and value. Hooks up to home internet easily and it's user-friendly enough for my elderly mother to use. I've had no reliability issues with it, but it's not used everyday either. I think so long as your not using it in a busy office it will hold up well. Cartridges seem to last a while, but can be kinda expensive.

Would recommend!!
I do not write reviews nearly as enough as I should. I did a lot of research trying to find a good laserjet printer for a reasonable price. I searched on Amazon and often used the AI, Rufus, and "What do customers say?" and I could never find a printer that checked all the boxes. There was always some sort of criticism by people who had purchased the various models. I also looked outside of Amazon. Well, somehow I stumbled onto this one and Rufus and "What do customers say?" was positive all around. I must agree. I just got it today. I set it up with absolutely no problem whatsoever. It prints super fast. I like the display and look of the printer. The only thing I can't attest to is longevity as I just got it. I am very happy with this purchase!

Printing fine, scanning not fine
On Windows, getting printing working was a breeze. Scanning however, an exercise in frustration both for installation and usage. Whoever wrote that scanning software needs to go back for some serious user experience training. After multiple attempts from about 5 different directions I finally got everything installed. And I'm in the software business. Ten when it comes time to using the scanner the experience is very unfriendly and lacking in common sense assumptions. Whoever wrote that should look at the scan utility from Epson MX series to see how scanning is actually supposed to work.

Nice Printer
I love this printer. All I needed was a black and white and it does everything I need it for. I love that I don't have to change ink bottles or worry about them drying out. It makes nice copies and easily scans. A very good printer for the price!

A winner
Very happy with it. I should never have left HP. (Last printer was a Brother... headache after headache. This one is a breeze to set up and operate and gives me excellent, reliable print quality.

5 solid starts with good price
Fast and super easy to install on a Mac

Broken right out of the box
Bought in November, didn't install it until March. Never got the pc to recognize the printer. Tried UBS, Wireless connectivity. Followed HP instructions completely. Finally turned off both pc and printer and gave up for the night.Next morning turn on the pc and printer. Printer immediately threw C9C6006 error, a sort of miscellaneous error. Nothing on HP's web site is useful. Only 'solutions' are (1) turn printer off, wait 30 seconds, turn on again. (2) unplug printer, hold down power button for 15 seconds to drain system, turn back on. (3) Check positioning of toner cartridge and paper tray.Now my Amazon return window has passed and I dred calling HP's "support" line.Saddest thing is, for 40 years I've been very pleased with HP's products. I've owned at least a dozen of their printers and mostly worked at places that use only HP printers.PS. This might be the first 1-star rating I've ever given on Amazon.
