Looks sleek and stylish. I like that the number pad goes blank when not in use (simple tap wakes it).Installing was fairly easy.Using is easy and quick. Setup via the app. Key code and fingerprint are quick to respond. A nice feature is a green bar across the top and a voice to indicate success. And a red bar and voice to indicate locked. Nice visual and audible reminders.The app also provides remote access and it is quick to open and easy to check on the lock status.

This lock is great. I really like it, and I feel secure using it — which is to say that it functions exactly as I had hoped and expected it to. The fingerprint reader reads very quickly and hasn’t rejected my print once yet. It’s built pretty sturdy, and I think it’ll last a while. It was super simple to install and just as easy to set up. It’s also easy to use and seems to be easy on batteries. I’m always hesitant to talk about battery life on something that uses batteries rather than having a battery built in, bc brand and chemical composition will make your mileage vary. But it seems to “sip” on the batteries, if you will. There’s no connectivity of this lock to your smart home, so don’t expect Alexa or Google Home to see it or “make it go”. I love my Alexa and the myriad of things I connect to her (I love IoT), but I really don’t need to verbally tell her to lock or unlock doors. Besides, to me, that’s a security risk — even in locks with the ability to do this and locks with PIN codes — if someone knows your code, they could just say it loud enough from outside for your smart home device to hear, and open right up, which might get you burglarized…or worse. Anyhow, it’s a fantastic lock, and it hasn’t failed me yet. I give it 5/5 stars.

We installed this Philips smart lock back in November 2024, and after six months of daily use, it’s been a mostly positive experience. The lock itself is reliable and the battery life is impressive—still running strong on the original set of batteries six months in.The fingerprint reader is quick and convenient, but works best with dry fingers. If your hand is damp, you might have to try more than once. For locking up when leaving, you can either trust the auto-lock (which can be a little inconsistent) or press and hold any number on the keypad to lock it manually, no need to punch in a PIN to lock it.It does have a physical key option with a hidden keyhole, which is a nice backup to have just in case.Now for the downsides: the app experience really needs improvement. It frequently logs itself out, which is frustrating—especially when you need access in a hurry. That said, the app does make it simple to assign permanent or temporary PINs, which is super helpful for giving access to guests or service people.As for Google Home integration... it's hit or miss. Sometimes it links and works perfectly. Other times, Google Home acts like it's never seen the device before and you have to relink everything from scratch. It’s unpredictable and a little annoying.The auto-lock feature could also use some fine-tuning. It occasionally locks itself while we’re still home, seemingly without reason. Thankfully, we haven’t had any instances of it unlocking on its own.Bottom line: the hardware is solid, the core functionality is dependable, and it absolutely adds convenience to our home. Once the app and smart home integration are polished up, this could be one of the better smart locks on the market.

I have used a lot of exterior door locks, but this one works great. Love that you have four ways to open the door (fingerprint, key, code, and app). It has been installed for three weeks, and the fingerprint reader has worked flawlessly. The app is easy to use to create codes for guests or vendors.

I have only had this lock for about a week now, but so far it has been the best smart lock we've had! The previous one we had died quite frequently and I was changing the batteries in it 1-2 times a month...4 AAA batteries a month is insane! So I bought another "high end" brand to replace it and it was just the WORST. So here we are lock #3 and I finally feel some satisfaction!-Installation is EXTREMELY easy and fast!-The battery life seems to be pretty good, but I will update if that changes.-App setup is easy and the app functions well-The lock itself looks sleek and modern-The lock responds pretty fast any way you unlock itI love this lock so far, hoping it holds up to the test of time!! Again, I will update if anything changes!

The door lock is pretty solid feeling and only took some minor chiseling to fit into the door. The app with it is terrible. It's difficult to pair, the app constantly logs out. It becomes de-synced with the actual lock status and one revision/update they pushed broke communication entirely and I lost phone access to it for a week until the next update came out correcting it. Support comes from the 3rd party company that makes the app. Given the bugs, it makes me question the security of it given it's something that is meant to protect my home and family. They could have made this product a real winner if they didn't entrust another company to do their app platform.

Another quality Phillips product. There’s quite a few deadbolts out there but for my family I prefer to go with products I’ve heard of before. This deadbolt was an easy setup. Was alittle confusing when it came to the programming but after a few tries it was apparent it was user error and it became easier. Love the fingerprint access along with other features it has. Haven’t had any issues so I will say the function and quality is a peace of mind when I leave home. As of right now I will say whatever reviews you may read pay attention to the dates because if I didn’t I may have never gotten this deadbolt. I saw a lot of complaints but the app itself is a selling point that I will pass along to the person reading this. I haven’t had any issues that the prior consumers gave stated. Not one. I’m on my second week so I can’t say much for battery life. So with this I will say I recommend and will def buy again if need be.
