Long story short, it's real steel armor, heavy, looks good.Takes forever to put on or take off, has to be cleaned of the packing oil, and needs a padded undershirt to prevent the sharp bits from gouging you. You know: just like real armor. Because, it's armor. Not plastic.And it's heavy. Due to it being armor. And made of metal.Because it's armor.<Yes, I'm making fun of the reviews that complain about the grease packing, weight, and roughness of the metal>

The Roman Soldier Military Lorica Segmentata Body Armor arrived ahead of schedule. I had some trouble putting it together, but after experted answers from Amazon I was able to put it together. I had plastic armor and it started to crack after using it for different occassion for six years. I decided to relplace it with Roman Soldier Military Lorica Segmentata Body Armor. The armor is professionally made and I have to get use to its weight compared to the plastic armor when i wear it during an Easter Presentation and other functions.

I'm 6'0 190, so the included pics might give you a good visual as to how you can expect the lorica to fit. For me it fits like a glove, a bit tight on my shoulders because my chest and back are more built, but with a bit of padding it's really comfortable. Plates move like a charm, the mobility is great and, at least for me, the weight isn't an issue. As with all plate the weight (if properly distributed across the body) isn't really noticeable, but it might be a bit strenuous on some user's shoulders. Any way I think it's awesome, I'd LOVE it to be stainless which is my only qualm aside from the fact it comes packed in grease which is a pain to clean off (I get why, but still, it's not a lot of fun lol). Add a polypropylene sword and say hello to dragon con & halloween!

Not really impressed with the craftsmanship. There are so many flaws such as rust, dents and flakes of paint peeling. If I could return it I would, but the price to return out weighs the cost. Overall it's an ok product.

Bought this armor for a party, couldnt have been more happy with my purchase. Everyone loved it, fit like glove. The only issue I had was the hinges on the shoulder started to bend and fall off. This can easily be fixed by crimping the hinge with pliers. Also I was twerking /dancing pretty hard to cause the hinges to bend, and it was mostly the steel plates being tossed around and wedging against each other. I attached a picture of me wearing it, I'm 6'1 160 lbs.

This is cheep. I just got it in the mail. Some of the rivets holding the leather have come loose. The design is poor. The hinges that are on the shoulders are cheep quality and can not hold the weight of the upper and lower chest pieces. They are separating before I even put it on. I will be returning it.

Came dirty extremely dirty and has rust spots out of the box so I've got a lot of cleaning to do on it to say the least also missing a leather strip to put it togetherSize seems good though just be prepared to do a lot of work to it right away
