A very useable mechanical numeric keypad
Although I have been pleased with this number pad, purchasers should note that the keyboard is illuminated around the edges of the keys, but the key values themselves are not illuminated.

Compact, sleek design, and functional
I purchased this number pad and I have been extremely impressed with its performance and functionality. As someone who works extensively with numbers and data, having a separate number pad has been a game changer for me.First and foremost, the build quality of this number pad is excellent. It has a solid and sturdy construction, with a sleek and compact design. The mechanical keys have a satisfying click and tactile feedback, making typing on it a pleasure. The keys are also backlit, which not only adds to the aesthetics but also makes it easier to use in low light conditions. The 34 key layout is perfect for my needs. It has all the necessary keys for basic calculations and data entry, without being too cluttered or overwhelming. The keys are also well-spaced, making it comfortable to use for extended periods of time without causing any strain on my fingers. One of the standout features of this number pad is its compatibility. It can be used with both Windows and Mac operating systems, which is a huge plus for someone like me who works on both platforms. It is also plug-and-play, so no additional software or drivers are required for it to work.Another impressive aspect of this number pad is its versatility. It can be used as a standalone device or as a complement to a laptop keyboard. I often use it with my laptop when I need to do extensive data entry, and it has significantly increased my productivity.Overall, I am extremely satisfied with my purchase! It has exceeded my expectations in terms of performance, build quality, and versatility. If you are in need of a reliable and efficient number pad for your work or personal use, I highly recommend giving this one a try.

Works great but not too fancy
This numpad works great. It is clearly meant for data entry as it has =, (, ), BACKSPACE, ESC, FN, and TAB instead of keys you might expect like PRINT SCREEN, SCROLL LOCK, INSERT, PAUSE. I do occasionally use PRINT SCREEN, and maybe once a year I press INSERT on accident. It feels like a gain and not a loss to have different keys.It has a light to indicate if num lock is on which is synced with the num lock light on my main keyboard. Pressing the num lock key on either keyboard toggles the light and num lock for both. The light patterns are not particularly impressive, but that's fine. It has off, all on, light the button you just pressed, zig zag through all the buttons, horizontal sweep, and pulse from center. You can adjust the brightness and speed of each pattern. This is all done by holding FN and pressing another key. All those other keys are labeled, which is a high-quality touch.I replaced the switches it came with. I chose the tactile ones but after they arrived I decided it was too weird to have a different feel for this compared to my main keyboard.I wish so badly that it had shine-through key caps. But that isn't a fault of the product. I doubt I can even get shine-through replacements anywhere since several of the buttons have custom printing for the firmware functions to adjust the lighting.

DO NOT BUY THIS ITEM!!!!!!!!!
DO NOT BUY THIS!!!! This item worked as advertised for exactly 31 days, which is conveniently one day longer than the period in which one can return it. The USB-C receptacle it uses to connect has broken to the point that it can no longer connect to the computer. This device was never dropped, nothing was spilled on it, and it was used in a clean environment. I am unable to find any way to receive support from Amazon and now I'm stuck with a useless $40 hunk of plastic. Save yourself the hassle and the expense and buy a different keypad. Two thumbs down.

Finnicky but cheap
I've had it be a little finnicky with reconnecting to the computer and locking inputs that require me to unplug and replug it. The feel is decent but not the best and the leds are a little annoying to me although I ended up going in and covering them with nail polish to dull them a bit. Not being able to remap the keys is frustratingIt's a cheap keypad though so I won't eviscerate it too bad for being cheap quality.

Smooth and Sturdy
Was looking to get a mechanical numeric keypad, prior to transitioning to a mechanical keyboard. Ordered this based on availability of Linear switches - had not tried them previously, but I figured I might like them better. Boy do I ever!Package arrived quickly (next day), and I was surprised at out compact it is. And heavy! This thing feelssubstantial - you can place it on your desk and not expect it to move easily. It will be where you want it, when you want it.The linear keys were a blessing as well! Love how they move and sound! There is also a configurable white light (no RGB), which is clean and stylish.Only problem is the lack of programmability. I was hoping that I could configure the F13/15/15 keys, because I have a use case for such, but no such luck. The keypad configures itself to either MacOS or Windows for those 3 buttons. But bonus - the calculator function (I am using on Windows) was one of my use cases!Overall - pluses: compact, sturdy, feels rugged and like it can take some abuse, stylish and smooth, comfortable keystrokes. Minuses: not programmable, no RGB lights. The only thing I would trade this for is a fully programmable keypad / macro board, which is more than twice the price. Really good product, especially for the price!
