I was concerned these shakes would taste chalky or medicinal, but I was nicely surprised. My husband and I have been working hard to lose weight while maintaining nutrition, and obviously, more protein is one of the best ways to do that. We've tried a variety of flavors, but for both of us, the chocolate is the best tasting. It actually tastes like chocolate milk. The shakes are low-calorie and high protein, so they do keep you full for a while, but it is my understanding that they should not be used as a full meal replacement all the time. There are other shakes by the same brand that are better suited for that purpose. The individual shake boxes themselves are sturdy and not likely to be crushed and messy as long as you're careful, but we typically pour them into tumblers anyway. We usually don't get tired of the chocolate flavor, but if we do feel a little jiggy and want something different, we use these as a base for smoothies and add bananas or frozen fruit into them. Overall, they're pretty much a staple in our home now.

Buyer beware, these are so addicting I can almost drink at 12 pack of these things a day! They taste freaking amazing! Only one gram of sugar! However it does use sucralose as a sweetener. I have tried hundreds of protein drinks and powders over the years and this is by far the best bar none! Highly recommended! You're not supposed to drink more than two a day but I've been slamming 4 a day, feeling a bit guilty about it, but oh well! It's better than what I used to do drinking four chocolate shakes a day! Hence, why my health is so crappy that I now "get" to drink this stuff. Pricey but worth every drop, er uh, I mean penny!

Solid high protein nutrition with a little kick to start the day.. Tastes good enough and not viscous. Why couldn’t they just pkg these in 14 ct cases? Sure would make subscription easier.

It’s much better cold. The shake seems okay, the taste is okay, it’s not clumpy, it doesn’t have a weird smell and I like that it has a minimal amount of sugar. My main gripe with this product is that it just doesn’t work to keep you full to any degree. I don’t know if it’s because of how small it is or what but if I’m having a protein shake I should want to eat shortly after because I’m unsatisfied, I could have just eaten the protein to begin with.I also have the Soylent shakes and while they don’t carry 30g of protein they do curb my appetite in the mornings, so I’m not hungry until lunch time when I can and should have some solid proteins.For now I’m on a pre sleeve diet (only liquids) and will continue that diet two weeks after surgery for safety reasons. So feeling fulfilled while staying at my calorie limit is crucial and ensure just doesn’t hit that mark, even when I’m filling up on water before or after. I’d need to drink 6 a day to hit my minimum calorie requirement (800) and that leaves me with 180g of protein everyday which is ridiculous. With Soylent I only need 3 a day to hit my 800-1000 daily goal and I’ll still feel fulfilled with little to no hunger pains.I bought the ensure so I’m going to drink it, I just won’t buy it again. It might work best for what you need though.

The ensure max 1 gram of sugar is amazing. I purchased the chocolate it taste very good and I feel great also. It is full of 25 vitamins and minerals and has 30 grams of protein. I will purchase this again absolutely!!!

I made a mistake on one of the orders. I forgot how much I ordered when it was coming late. I didn’t realize it was the other half of my order, but it came so late. I didn’t know so I let it go.

Three stars because it tasted so good and kept me feeling full for a while. I was trepidatious about buying this because of the soluble corn fiber. I have taken Metamucil's Fiber Gummies with that ingredient and it gave me so much gas that I had to stop taking it. But I liked the other ingredients in this drink and decided to try it when I was at home and not going anywhere, LOL. It gave me gas for several hours.😭My review is that if you know your digestive tract doesn't react to soluble corn fiber, I would recommend this drink because it's high in protein, low in calories, and doesn't have a lot of the low quality ingredients that other commercial protein drinks have. But I will stick with my favorite brand, Orgain. It's too bad because I would like to try the other flavors that this drink comes in. I would love it if Abbott would consider removing the soluble corn fiber.Have a wonderful day!🙂
