I saw a guy that I watch on YouTube every so often talking about using this dongle to use his DualSense controller with his PS3 for trophy hunting with turbo. It was working flawlessly from what I could tell so I wanted to try it out for myself. I watched a couple of reviews which all seemed positive but none of them answered my core question... will this dongle allow me to use my PS5 controller when playing PS2 games on my PS3 FAT via backwards compatibility?? So I made the purchase and was determined to find out.I have tried just about every other route you can think of to play backwards compatibility games with a more comfortable controller than the PS3 DualShock and have had no luck... But this little beauty changed all of that. IT WORKS!! With the Brooks Wingman XE 2 I am finally able to play my PS2 games that I love, upscaled on a console that I love, with a controller that I love. I couldn't be happier. This dongle also allows for FULL functionality of the controller... SIXAXIS motion controls, rumble, PS button functionality. The only thing that it doesn't allow is to use the controller to wake the console from sleep or off but other than that everything else works perfectly. I don't have any issue with this because I just walk up and press the button on the console. Problem Solved!You can also use this dongle with a wide range of other consoles and for a wide range of other controllers with turbo. You can even use it to connect your DualSense controller to you Nintendo Switch if you want to. I haven't used it to its fullest capabilities yet but it has 100% worked in the way that I was hoping it would for me in my specific use case. I would definitely recommend!

This device is a lifesaver if you have a PS3 right now. Buying the original controllers as a pain because so many are fake. It’s very hard to tell the difference until they’re in your hands. And legitimate ones are often quite expensive.Just let me use my PS4 controllers, which are more readily available and cheaper. If you’ve normally hooked up your PS4 controller to your PS3, you’ve probably noticed not all the buttons work. The biggest one is the PS logo button not working.I plugged this into the front of my PS3 and then pressed the pair button on it. Then I press the buttons on my PS4 controller for pairing. The controller synced with the system almost instantly. It worked with no trouble and I’ve used every feature on the PS3 with the controller ever since.The only thing that might bother some people is that with this thing you can’t turn on the PS3 using the PS4 controller. The device doesn’t receive any power unless the PS3 is on. That just means you have to turn the PS3 on first and then your controller - not a big deal.Very happy with the quality and price and function of this unit.

an amazing converter. with this converter, i was able to use my dualshock 4 on my ps3.so before you buy this converter. understand that you can use the free method. bluetooth connection of dualshock 4 to ps3. its very limited. but you can use it. i didnt enjoy it.so i thought to buy a converter. after using this for a couple of days, i found out, its almost a 1 to 1 replacement. using this converter is better than hooking it up the controller via bluetooth. because with the converter, you get rumble feedback. you get access to the ps button. the start and select button. i was thinking this could replace me getting a dualshock 3, but nope. so yes this converter is still amazing. i'll just list some of the cons, that I didnt know about.You cant use the converted controller to turn on the ps3. if your using back compat games on the ps3, like on ps2 mode or ps1 mode, the converted controller wont work. so you have to use a dualshock 3 to turn on the system, and the converter will turn on, and that will insist on being controller 1. even though you dont plan on using it at all. so you have to manually assign the controller.but all that being said, having this converter is still worth it. i love using my fresh new dualshock or dualsense with a long lasting battery. as dualshock 3s batteries have low battery life as they have gotten used up.

Works exactly as advertised!

I wanted to use my madcatz fight stick meant for ps3 ps4 to the switch. You have to update firmware is quite easy on the site take 10 minutes at most. Then before connecting fight stick hol fight stick joystick up and hold ps button. While holding two buttons connect it to the Switch 2 and it works.i play street fighter 6 on the Switch 2 love it!

Had my doubts at first but it was super easy to pair with my dualsense controller, using it on a ps3 system, works flawlessly and makes the controller behave as if it were a dualshock 3, planning on buying another one for my switch
