Worked better than expected
Bought a new antenna but the channels would come and go. I tried this booster not expecting much. But it has helped a lot. Worth the money for us.

Initial impression is great
When moving to wake forest we first stayed at a rental condo and tv service was terrible. I suggested the host try a simple indoor antenna for the local OTA networks since it worked perfectly fine in FL. He said he didn’t think reception was very good. Well, it’s certainly worth trying! Anyway, when I got some time after moving to our house, I started playing around with some simple bow tie antennas inside and sure enough I was able to get the OTA channels without too much hassle. So, I put a bow tie I made outside, screwed to the siding where the outside cable enters the house. We have fiber internet and ethernet so don’t use the coax. Anyway only one hi/vhf channel remained hit or miss. So time to try a booster or signal amplifier. At this price point there are a handful of choices and it’s hard to pick “the one”. But I figured for $35 ish, this one seemed to get a few recommendations and was worth a try. Setup was ultra simple. Simply screwed it to the cable wiring cabinet in our utility closet. All our cables come to or go out to the rooms from one cabinet - I just had to jumper the center wire to the braid/ground so I could use continuity to identify the cable from outside. With that done, I connected the antenna coax to the input, then the output to a splitter since there are 2 TVs, finally plugged in the power and gave the TVs a try. So far the flakey station is coming in really good and the others look fine. Not sure what was causing the one hi/vhf station around 182 mhz to be flaky but we watch it a lot so if this signal amp has any weaknesses, it should show up soon. So far I’m impressed.

I got more channels without it than with it. Maybe defective or simply does not work. I don't know.
