I truly don’t understand how this works but it really does!! My son’s room always smelled like dirty diapers, and air fresheners always just made it smell like a mix of fragrance and dirty diapers. But within a few hours of putting this in his room, the bad smell was completely gone. I’ve seen some reviews where people say it doesn’t last long, but I haven’t had that issue. I thought it needed to be replaced just by looking at the side of the container, but when I opened, it was still nearly full. It just looks empty from the outside.

TL, DR: buy it, it works better than you can imagine!Now for the full review (read on if you have a strong stomach...don't say I didn't warn you!)I purchased this odor eliminator due to a STENCH in my basement. It was horrendous, and started to permeate the upper living area of my house. After checking everything we could think of, we came to the conclusion that an animal had gotten stuck in our chimney and expired, and the smell was coming out into the basement through the fireplace. I purchased this odor eliminator because I wanted to get rid of the smell, not cover it up with perfumes/ scent. I placed this as directed, and within 3 hours the smell had lessened noticeably! After a few days, it was gone, and it hasn't come back. I was so impressed I purchased a second one to keep on hand for emergencies. Believe me, if it can get rid of the unbearable stench I was dealing with, it can get rid of any odor! I would give this 10 stars if it let me 😋

I used this charcoal odor eliminator in a newly painted room and it really helped cut down that strong paint smell within a day or two. It’s simple, clean, and actually works — no fake scents, just absorbs odors. That said, you can get basically the same effect by buying activated charcoal (like the kind used for aquariums) and making your own. Still, if you want a ready-made option that looks nice and does the job, this works well. This doesn't actually clean anything and not sure it removes harmful VOCs, but instead just masks the smell.

I've never noticed a difference with these things, but the cats were smelling the house up quickly when one of them was sick. So I bought one. I guess it did okay. The letterbox still smelled, but not until you got right up on it, like to clean it. I'm not big on good smelling things, so maybe I just didn't pay that much attention either.

I gotta say…these are fabulous. I have a few of both the lavender (hallway, basement, cabinets) and the unscented (for kitchen and bedroom). I live in a 100 year old house that I adore, but they do have that smell. I have expensive candles and have tried other things, but thing is, candles are dangerous, I have cats, and I’m sensitive to plug ins and most artificial smells. These do what they are supposed to do. They get rid of odor, without making your house smell like all those fake scents. My unfinished basement (with litter boxes, floor drain, washer dryer now smells like…nothing).

Why did you pick this product vs others?:I had a dead mouse in my bedroom wall and company was coming to stay the next day. These came SO FAST and I opened two jars near the smell and within 2 hours I couldn't detect it anymore. I cannot believe how amazing these are. These are miraculous

I have now bought 5 of these because of how great they are, they last a while and smell amazing. My only complaint is that for some reason my recent purchase of 4 of these, all of them came without a seal. However, I figured I'd use saran wrap and place them around my room in case they do get consumed over time.

Works well in a small space like a walk in closet. Easy to place and hide and lasts for a long time. Refreshes the air and absorbs odors.
