I purchased two DBPower jump starters during Amazon Prime days. I waited to post this review until I had a chance to use one of the jumpers. The jump starters were shipped at about 85% charge. It took several hours to reach 100% charge level using the provided USB cable and the recommended (but not provided) 5V/2A wall plug charging adapter. I recently had to jump start my son’s Ford Fiesta. The jump starter was very easy/intuitive to hook up to his car battery, and the car fired up on the first try. The whole process took less than 30 seconds. The jumper clamps/cables have a status light on them (blinking green means that the cables are connected correctly to the jump starter, solid green light means that the jump starter and cables are connected correctly to the car batter and ready to begin the jump start process). The charge level on the DBPower jump starter battery pack only decreased from 100% to 97% after one jump start.Attached are some photos to show what came in the box. Photo #1 shows the overall product packaging. I thought that I might need to purchase a separate carrying bag/case, but the box is very sturdy and includes nice foam packaging to keep things from rattling around in your car. No need to buy a separate storage case, just use the original box. Photo #2 shows the contents of the box: the jump start, jumper clamps/cables, USB cable (you must use your own 5V/2A wall plug charging adapter), and User Manual. Photo #3 shows the jumper clamps/cables attached to the jump starter battery (they are keyed and only go in one way). Photo #4 show the handy flashlight function (just hold down the power button for 2 seconds to activate the flashlight).The one potential concern that I have about the DBPower jump starter is that the max storage temperature is listed as only 95 degrees Fahrenheit (max operating temperature is 140 degrees). This may pose a problem for storing the jumper in your car during the hot summer months. When the outside temperature is 70 degrees, the temperature inside a closed car will rise to 90 degrees after 10 minutes, 98 degrees after 20 minutes, and 104 degrees after 30 minutes. Since this device is stored in my car where the ambient temperature in the Midwest can easily exceed the rated 95 degree storage temperature (let alone the increased temperature inside of the car), I have some concerns about the battery expanding/leaking. I will keep an eye out for this in the future and report back if I have an issue.

I can only review based on my experience thus far. I carry it in my electric vehicle (since I can’t use jumper cables to help others…lol). I had to go rescue my son at a gas station where his battery died there and this unit jumped his old Honda Accord just fine in 10 degree weather. I keep charged at 90+ percent and seems to hold that level just fine in the winter.

You never know when you or you need to help someone else recharge a battery! Easy to use and great value for the money. We even bought one for our son who has to leave his vehicle out in the elements during the winter.

I had no idea such a product existed until my neighbor brought his over to jump start my car. Several weeks ago, I parked my car on our driveway instead of in the garage for convenience sake. My wife was returning home late at night from a trip and I wanted to just jump in the car and go to pick her up once I received her text. To my horror, the car would not start. I texted my neighbor two houses away to ask for help. Thinking he would pull up alongside me on the driveway and we would use charging cables. Instead, he unzipped a small hard case and removed a hand-held charger. I was very surprised at how easy it was to use and, more importantly, how powerful it was. It charged the battery in under three seconds. My neighbor told me he keeps it in his truck and has helped several stranded drivers. The next day, I jumped on Amazon to read up on the produced. Judging from the overwhelmingly large number of positive comments and ratings, I decided to buy one. I really like its convenience and I will be packing it when we go on long trips.

Used it to jump my 2020 mustang gt. It jumped the vehicle but never powered up again. The Mustang died from tuning the same day so it’s not like something else failed.

This worked great to start my car a few times during the cold snap this year. The remaining battery life after jumping 3 times was still over 90%, which I thought was strange since the manual says each jump can drain a significant portion of power. This morning, at battery 90%, I try to jump and nothing happens. I check the jumper at its displaying 7%So this battery works fine, just make sure you charge it between jumps. You can't trust the display.
