Better than the generic Specsavers stuff... and you can make slime with it
I'm a parent and a contact lens wearer and this stuff ticks two boxes in two completely different use cases!First things first, I originally ordered this as my eyes were always feeling gritty after being in my eyes for 8 hours; I put my lenses it at 8am and tend to take them off at 10pm as I work all day and then go out training doing contact sports a few times a week. The difference between this and the stuff Specsavers were sending me was night and day! My eyes instantly felt fresher and I can wear my lenses all day without wanting to tear my eyes out.Now, the unexpected bonus of this fluid... it has a chemical in it that means you can make slime! I don't know which it is, but my kids and I make the stuff all the time as a fun activity. I was using some expensive additive that you add to the cornflour and PVA glue, but I was told to just get some of this Renu contact lens fluid and use that instead... I already had some (I was using it before I knew about it's slime-making properties) and low and behold it works perfectly!I tried the Specsavers fluid and it didn't work for making slime, so that's 2-0 to Renu.

A sterile, isotonic solution that contains HYDRANATE® (hydroxyalkylphosphonate) 0.03%, boric acid, edetate disodium, poloxamine 1%, sodium borate and sodium chloride; preserved with DYMED® (polyaminopropyl biguanide) 0.0001%.
Directions
DIRECTIONS: To clean, disinfect and remove protein daily, complete these simple steps. STEP 1: Place 3 drops of ReNu MultiPlus Multi-Purpose Solution on each side of the lens surface and gently rub for 20 seconds. STEP 2: Thoroughly rinse each side of the lens for 5 seconds with ReNu MultiPlus Multi-Purpose Solution. STEP 3: Place cleaned contact lens in the lens case and ll with fresh ReNu MultiPlus Multi-Purpose Solution. Soak at least 4 hours. Remember to always use fresh solution. Your lenses are now ready to wear. No saline rinse necessary. If any debris remains on contacts, rinse with ReNu Multi-Purpose Solution prior to insertion. Always follow your eye care practitioner’s instructions. Based upon your individual tear chemistry and lens-wearing schedule, your eye care practitioner may recommend additional products or procedures.

WARNINGS: PROBLEMS WITH CONTACT LENSES AND LENS CARE PRODUCTS COULD RESULT IN CORNEAL INFECTION AND/OR ULCER AND LEAD TO LOSS OF VISION (BLINDNESS). It is essential that you follow your eye care practitioner’s directions and all labeling instructions for proper use of lenses and lens care products, including the lens case. Eye problems, including corneal ulcers, can develop rapidly and lead to loss of vision (blindness). Daily wear lenses are not indicated for overnight wear and should not be worn while sleeping. Clinical studies have shown the risk of serious adverse reactions is increased when these lenses are worn overnight. Extended wear lenses should be regularly removed for cleaning and disinfection or for disposal and replacement on the schedule prescribed by your eye care practitioner. Clinical studies have shown that there is an increased incidence of serious adverse reactions in extended wear contact lens users as compared to daily wear contact lens users. Studies have also shown that the risk of serious adverse reactions increases the longer extended wear lenses are worn before removal for cleaning and disinfection or for disposal and replacement. Studies have also shown that smokers have a higher incidence of adverse reactions. If you experience eye discomfort, excessive tearing, vision changes, and / or redness of the eye, immediately remove your lenses and promptly contact your eye care practitioner.
