Hazelnuts in-shell from our family orchard in Washington state (Raw, 4 pounds)

I bought them to plant trees, and they are growing!

These are the best! I have ordered multiple times and between the freshness and value for money, I will always order from here!

As another reviewer mentioned, these are small compared to other filberts available on Amazon (like the size of a gobstopper), which is why I’m back to purchase as many as my budget will allow because my squirrels absolutely love them and they last twice as long due to the size. I can have a buffet of walnuts, pecans, the jumbo filberts, and these filberts laid out and they pick these out first. If these filberts are gone my 4yo rescue baby will let me know by meerkat-ing outside of the French doors or by finding me in the yard to inspect my pockets. I know there are many others who regularly purchase filberts with the same purpose in mind and not only will these go further (because the qty is greater due to the individual size), there are less conflicts on the ground bc it’s not as obvious that they are ‘holding’, and your squirrel buddies will love them*!!!*Eastern Grey Squirrels at least- cant vouch for all varieties/locations

Everything was nice, fresh and well packaged. My only comment is that the nuts themselves are a little on the small size. I would prefer probably 1 to 1.5 times larger nuts, but they are fresh have the proper oiliness... there is nothing as bad as nuts that are old and dry, which these are not!

April 2, 2025Small, as they noted, and fairly easy to shell. But seriously low on taste.The bag (package) does not state the harvest date, which it should, nor does it have a use by date. That does not seem right. Nuts are perishable, they should be dated. In their shell they should go over a year, even longer if stored correctly.Based on the lack of distinctive flavor my guess is these are 2023 nuts. I would never purchase again and will probably give this 4 lb bag away.

Snacking

Very please with these. I am impressed that the hazelnuts are fresh and very uniform in quality. They are well packaged (resealable bag is a plus) and clean with no sort of debris in the bag.I very much looking forward to buying them again when I eventually need more.Would highly recommend if you are a fan of hazelnuts/filberts.
