Best Game Ever?
This game is so good that I literally don't know what to say..or even where to begin. You play as John Marston, an ex criminal who wants to go straight and enjoy the country lifestyle with his son and wife, only to be dragged back into his gunslinging ways by the Federal Bureau to hunt down his former gang members. Grand Theft Auto set in 1911 border states is a pretty good description of the game lay out in general, although the storytelling and characters run deeper than any Rockstar title to date. This is the only game i've ever played where i've felt an emotional connection with the protagonist. I wanted him to do well, I wanted him to see his family and kill the bad guys, rarely do you even care in the slightest for these virtual beings, but in this case I did. For a game that was released 3 years ago, it could easily be a future release as the graphics are so high quality. The detail in this game is incredible, If you're a sadistic person in video games such as myself, tying people up with the rope, laying them on train tracks or shooting them will have you giggling for hours. Prepare to be blown away by what could quite possibly be, the greatest game thus far.I might add that the Undead Nightmare expansion pack is like a whole new game and is definitely worth buying for such a cheap price. Imagine completing the story, running around for hours and hours messing around shooting stuff, getting bored (unlikely) and then turning on Undead Nightmare to experience it all again...with Zombies!!

A Stunning Game In The Infamous Wild West
This game is a true masterpiece. The characters and voice acting are superb and the story is also brilliant. I bought this game a couple of years ago and having recently completed GTA 5 you're three criminals in a city full of morons and I never felt immoral doing bad things. When you're John Marston an ex out law trying to redeem himself I never felt justified killing anyone in the street or doing bad things purposely, and if I did I wouldn't save the game after. The characters in the game are mostly good people trying to live honest lives and it feels like you should only do the same. It's a different touch to the GTA games so I disagree this is GTA as a western. The graphics are beautiful and the landscapes and open world is wonderful to explore riding your horse. There are lots of things to do like hunting challenges and stranger side missions which were hilarious at times and also rather sad. The ending is monumental so make sure you play it all the way through! I am sure either a sequel or prequel shall be out in the next two years so make sure you're ready for it! This is a game that shouldn't be missed.

Much better than GTA4
At first I was very skeptical with RDR. I read all the reviews for GTA4 and in the end didn't really like it. The missions were ok, but all the driving around eventually just got me tired.RDR is not like that at all. Not only you have the option to fast travel most places, the Old West is a place with lots to do in between missions. Hunt, gather some flowers, help strangers in distress, you might well find yourself skipping fast travel in favour of some exploration. The story and the setting are also great, watching the conversations John Marston has with the other characters brings you in and makes you think about your own experiences. To be fair, though, I'm not a fan of first person shooters. My aiming in terrible and I was pretty glad with the auto aiming system. If that's what you are looking for, you'll find better suitors elsewhere.

A masterpiece of its era
I've bought RDR1 to play on my old Xbox 360 (since I've never played it before). After playing it for a while, I've noticed the familiarity in how so much of RDR2's features had actually been carried and improved on from RDR1.Unfortunately, the only spoiler I'm aware of, is that John Marston dies in the end. Apart from that, I don't know the story up until that point. And you can actually buy/rent properties in RDR1. This feature is what stood out to me the most! I wonder when we will be able to do this on the current RDO with the ability to be used as spawn locations, like GTA.

Mamas don't let your babies grow up to be cowboys...
...because God forbid they'd be as awesome as this guy! What's left to be said about RDR that hasn't already been said? - Nothing, that's what. This game is one of my all-time favorites!Playing / re-playing it over and over again, I find this to be a good way to blow off steam. However you picture / pictured the wild west to be like, this exceeds most expectations.I'm not gonna write a 2-page essay to point out how great this game is, but I will however mention the gameplay as being damn-near perfect.Rockstar has a rep of being edgy and bold in their designs of games and RDR is no exception.Nothing beats lassoing a poor schmuck and dragging him/her halfway through a thorny cactus desert, filled with vermins and wildlife just waiting to take a bite at you! If this doesn't count as stress relief, I don't know what will.
