Excellent brackets, decent quality and worth the effort
Great item, took a while to fit for some reason. I ended up drilling a hole underneath the solid oak shelf to let the air through the hole but once fitted looks amazing. Definitely can take a lot of weight. I used a 12mm auger wood bit and even though my shelf was only 25mm thick the bit helped me drill a level hole without breaking through.I would bare in mind though that once you’ve screwed the bracket into the wall plug, the screw part of the bracket will not come back out, only the rod will unscrew.Other than that I would definitely recommend, take your time with the measurements and drilling you’ll thank yourself later.

Excellent, easy to use, recommended
The steel rods support a lot of weight and are quite forgiving and flexible enough to take up any slight difference between the screw sections in the brickwork. The bars are a bit fiddly to fit if your shelf material isn't sturdy and thick, you might need a drill jig to get the 12mm holes in the centre. My Wolfcraft dowel jig was just the job. To get them 'on the bubble' I used a bike spanner which was thin enough to screw the bracket screws into the wall plugs and then adjust them with the shelf nearly on. Took about 10 minutes to hang the shelf including cutting to length.

Good product, not that easy to fit
If I was fitting the oak mantle again, I know exactly what to do. As a first time DIY effort It was a little trial and error. Straight and level holes and you will be fine. You may need to fiddle with the cam system during fitting, providing you have measured perfectly in the first place. As other reviews mention, a slightly oversized hole in the beam/shelf makes it a lot easier. I have used 5 pins on this beam that weighs 35kg, it's solid.

Amazing
Amazing quality used on a wooden beam so it gave a floating shelf. Look very sturdy easy to use.

Thick and sturdy floating oak mantel support
Fantastic product. Excellent value for money. Very sturdy and great for wall mounting my oak mantle. Excellent service too as I requested them to be sent out 1st post which the seller was happy to do. Thankyou

Ok not great but ok
Really have to make sure you measure and drill perfectly to get them to work

easy to put up
these are great, really do the job, 2 drill holes then in your shelf...need to be straight, mine look great. think plaster board might be a bit iffy if you have a heavy shelf, perfect for solid wall though

Measure twice...
Astonishingly strong rods and wall fixing. But make sure you measure five times, and have your drill perfectly square - these things don't allow for any sloppiness, despite the slight adjustment available with their cam system. And, if you're drilling into a really solid wood shelf (like oak), use a 13mm bit, otherwise it's too tight a fit, and you're in a world of frustration.
