Excellent BMW R####GS motorbike accessory
I ride a BMW R1200GS motorbike and this cheap bit of kit has saved me having to buy a proprietary remote unit for three times the price. As I’m connecting to my phone and not to my helmet comms system, it is also far more flexible too.MATERIAL—————It’s made of a good quality plastic which can take a secure strap and still be solid for gloved finger pressing.IN USE———-Excellent. I navigate with my phone, Waze app, in a wireless charging cradle. I often play audio books or podcasts and have only had the volume button on my helmet to control sound.I can now pause, stop, skip tracks/chapters, and answer or cancel calls - I always cancel calls when riding. As it is rechargeable, it fits in very well with my mobile office setup strapped to my bike for when I regularly travel upto 400 mile round trips.I do not know yet what happens when it rains. I will update my review if the unit fails. As it’s a BT controller, I can now also use it on my BT guitar Amp for when I connect it to the TV. I also use it strapped to my arm for when I’m cycling.MOUNTING TO BIKE—————————-whilst it arrived with great Velcro and an arm band, I used cheap Velcro tape, also from Amazon, cut to size and slipped under handlebar and through the unit to secure it. I have also used rubber washers, secured with duct tape as dampeners, which you cannot see in the photo.SUMMARY—————I am so bloody chuffed with this controller. I effectively live on my bike. I have a whole travel wardrobe, mobile office solution with extra UHD screen, keyboard, mouse. I even have a travel guitar and amp! This controller slips into my lifestyle very nicely indeed.

Take note of the camera symbol to identify orientation
Someone else's review mentioned the next/previous buttons being the wrong way around. This is not the case. If you pay attention to the camera symbol engraved into the plastic, that will show you which way is up. Then all the buttons are in the order you'd expect. The play/pause button symbol is backwards, so that is a little design flaw, but honestly... bigger fish to fry.I got this to keep in my car using a Bluetooth adapter with no control of its own. Being able to plop this where-ever you want and have the media controls right there is great.Once paired, the remote doesn't take long to connect after turning on. The battery lasts longer than I can even really count - charged it once since buying (and charges over USB-C too - thank you very much).I do wish the buttons had a little physical marker on them to indicate where you are. Perhaps the previous/next ones, a bit like keyboards having "home" markers for touch typists. But it's not too hard to just find the last button (volume) and work your way in.

Great so far (next/last fortunately not as described)
Great so far works just like you'd expect. I thought that the odd allocation for the << and >> buttons would take a bit of getting used to as the description both here and on manual is, in my mind at least, the opposite to what you might expect. However, I am happy to say that the << by the - (low vol) is previous/last song and >> by the + (Hi Vol) next song. The only thing that counters that left to right logic (L=- and R=+) is the play/pause button being upside-down; even the camera icon on plastic surround "under" + button is the right way up.Wow what a waffle sorry. see attached photo for better explanation.Anyway the only con that i can find is that there is no off button or button combo that i have found. So only way is to disconnect fm master bluetooth device (e.g. phone) and then it times out.
