Good consistent internet speed
Netgear nighthawk CAX30 refurbished. The modem router arrived in very good condition. Their were only some minor scuffs. I have used it for over a week. It appears to be in perfect working order. Getting it setup was fairly easy to do. Connect the cable' Turn on the router' Call the cable company' It connects to the internet very good. In spite of all the other router networks that are around my apartment building, And two fans constantly running, My internet speed is 600mb. My previous router modem that I had for three years (arris 8300) had WIFI speeds of 350 to 400mb. My new one typically hangs around 500mb. It seems to have no issues with connecting to multiple devices. My devices tablet' Smart TV' phone' The app is easy to use. How good the internet speed is from a significant distance. I don't know. I'm never more Than ten feet from it.

Works great for Mediacom Xtreme internet
Had connected for a little over a week now and no problems with my refurbished unit. Unit looks like new and doesn’t have any visual defects. Set up was kind of a pain. I used the nighthawk app and it couldn’t find my modem to connect. After playing around with it abit I managed to get it registered and set up through the online website that was on the papers it came with. After I registered it to my account it worked flawlessly on the app. I then called Mediacom and told them I connected a new modem and got it registered to their system. Once I got all that done (about an hour) I actually had higher speeds and more coverage than the one I was paying $15 a month for. I have the 300mbps plan and get speeds anywhere from 288 to 316. So far it seems like a good unit especially with at the price I bought it at it will pay for itself in 9 months!

Easy setup, extra security
Title: Does what I needDescription: My old wi-fi cable modem was getting long in the tooth and I could see that my upload/download speeds were suffering as a result. This modem was recommended for Xfinity (Comcast), my current provider and it has performed well.As a plus, it seems to add a layer of security since I get frequent notices of DoS attempts that have been foiled, something I was not aware of before.

It is really fast but the coverage throughout the house is not as good as my old unit.
I purchased this after Xfinity recommended an upgrade to take advantage of their new speeds. I purchased the refurbished unit as it provided great value. My previous router was a refurbished unit and never failed in 5 years. The results are fantastic in terms of speed (see photo) with 800 plus downloads - yikes I never thought I'd see the day!! I don't get the same coverage throughout the house as with my previous unit, so will have to add range extenders.

A Fast & Reliable Wi-Fi 6 Modem-Router Combo
The NETGEAR Nighthawk AX2700 WiFi Cable Modem Router is a pretty solid all-in-one option, especially if you want fast speeds and good coverage without dealing with separate devices. It supports Wi-Fi 6, which means smoother streaming, gaming, and overall better performance. What’s great about it:Fast & reliable: Handles high-speed internet well, so no more buffering headaches.Easy setup: Most people find it simple to get going, even if they’re not tech-savvy.Good security: Comes with WPA3 encryption and NETGEAR Armor to help keep your network safe. What’s not so great:Pricey: It’s not the cheapest option out there. Some firmware hiccups: Past updates caused issues, but NETGEAR has fixed a lot of them.

DO NOT BUY! BEWARE!
DO NOT BUY THIS DEVICE (CAX30). I have had previous Netgear devices and have not had any issues. However, this is a faulty device that Netgear is aware of - hence why so many refurbished units are available. I have 800mbps internet plan and I only get 135mbps on 5G standing right next to device and when I'm a plugged directly into the router/modem, I am only getting speeds around 180mbps. This is absolutely unacceptable.Had ISP provider at my house 2 times for this issue and they confirmed everything was working on their end and they also tested all cabling/wiring in and to home. They then used their own testing modem and router after all of this troubleshooting and BAM - internet speeds are exactly as they should be and actually getting above 800mbps.This test verifies that the issue is isolated to something on this Netgear modem/router. Our assumption is a firmware or software problem that cause extreme bottlenecking and reduced speeds. However we verified with Netgear that I do in fact have the latest firmware installed currently. They have no answers or suggestions and talk in circles constantly. Repeatedly advising me to do yet another factory reset.Throughout this ordeal, I talked to Netgear support directly 4 times to attempt to resolve my issues. No one had a clue and kept reading from the same script. They neither helped the matter or assisted in any way and at times gave counterproductive input that further complicated the issues.Needless to say I will no longer be a Netgear customer. Selling faulty equipment and offering mediocre customer service is not something I will sign up for again and I highly recommend no one buys this unit/model as you will have nothing but problems and issues with no assistance to solve. Save yourself the time, money, and headache. Trust the bad reviews and Google this model to see about all the issues this device has that Netgear is fully aware of but continues to sell this product and do nothing about.
