I have these on every door. People love them so much when they come over that they end up ordering them. Love that you can make temp codes for people as well as check the door is locked when you are not home. No more forgetting house keys. If you're worried about the battery dying and not getting in don't be, it gives you a heads up WAY before you need to worry. Worst case you can plug in and give it enough charge to get inside. Fingerprint almost always works flawlessly, only issue is if my hands are horribly dirty or wet.

My Wyze auto deadbolt was installed about a year and a half before this review. This the experience I have had with it.The installation instructions are very easy to follow and understand. I have installed deadbolts in the past and this was easy. The app that connects via Bluetooth works well, and the features is offers are very useful. Set my family up in the app and we were off and running. Here are some pros and cons I have.ProsDurability of the lock has been amazing. It gets used about 5-10 times a day, and never had a problem where we couldn't get in our house. The lock is very strong and secure.Battery life is very good. You can check battery life in the app. After about 6 months of use the battery only went down 30%. I didn't know if this was calculated percentage by usage or actual battery life, so I changed the batteries and it went back to 100% after about a day.The fingerprint key-less entry is so nice, but with the fingerprint sensor like on the lock and on other devices. If your finger is wet or something has blocked or changed your fingerprint, it will not work. I just use the keypad when this happens.There are some nice features in the app. My favorites are you can set the deadbolt to auto lock after a set time. This is nice when your forgetful like we are. You can add users with just a code to get access, like a contractor or something like that. One feature saved us while we were on vacation. Our neighbor need to get into our house and check something after a bad storm. The app offers a one time use code that will unlock the deadbolt. The app does need to be connected to the internet to access this feature.Overall, this deadbolt from Waze was a game changer for us. Its nice not having to carry keys for the house anymore.Note: If there is any resistance on your current deadbolt when you unlock it. You will have to adjust your striker plate for this deadbolt to work properly. Wyze does offer support with this concern that is in the instruction.

We love Wyze! We use their cameras so after 3 failed smart door locks, we thought we would give them a go, and were so glad we did. This fit perfect and has a nice sleek and minimalist touch. Very simple installation and set up instructions (with photos/videos). The finger print is quickly responsive.

Read the description carefully, this deadbolt cannot be unlocked remotely, unless within Bluetooth distance, OR, if you have a video doorbell paired to it, then you can unlock it just with Wifi, but, it is pretty slow to unlock and you cannot check if it is locked or unlocked. As well, you can share access to the doorbell and deadbolt, but the person you share it with will not be able to remotely unlock it, like the original user, nor can they add access profiles to the deadbolt. So if what you need it for is within those limits, it is a great product.I purchased it for the warehouse door of a corporate office, so it would be nice if I could share remote unlocking access, because if a delivery driver comes and no one is in the office, I am the only person in the company who can unlock the door remotely, so that is a bit of a bummer, but overall it is pretty amazing for what you pay!

Overall this is a great lock. The illuminated keypad stands out nicely in the dark, the fingerprint scanner generally works the first time assuming my fingers aren't dirty, and installation and initial setup only took about 20 minutes.The biggest things against this lock are the fact that it takes 4-AA batteries instead of a lithium ion battery pack, and it is quite loud. The first isn't a big deal, mine uses about 0.5-1% battery life per day from the included Duracell batteries, but having a removable rechargeable battery pack would be more pocket and environmentally friendly. The second thing, the noise level, could make it an issue to some people if it's used at night. I'd put the level about like a battery powered screwdriver, not overwhelmingly loud but if the rest of the house is quiet it does stand out.Other than those two cons it's a great lock for a shop or frequently entered door. It's not Wi-Fi so you can't remotely unlock it or give someone a one time code, though you can setup a visitor profile and change it manually, but it's also one of the most affordable fingerprint locks on the market from a trusted brand.

I have a home full of Wyze products. When I unpackaged this item, I was intimidated to where I contemplated returning it because I thought it would not be able to install it on my own. I love the app and it walks you through step-by-step, but there is also a Wyze YouTube video that breaks it down even better. I was able to do it in 30 minutes. Love this updated lock that the pin pad is on the other side of the lock so that you don’t have a separate device to mount. Also love that there is now a fingerprint feature.
