FLA Orthopedics Soft Form Posture Control Brace, Large

Many reviews say this brace does not hold the shoulders back because it's too loose. I thought the same when I first wore it. But then after a few days one of the straps came out of the back and I had to thread it through the back pocket that holds it again. I couldn't fathom how to do it or where the velcro attached.Then I came back here and looked at the pics and saw it was supposed to go ALL the way through the back pocket - in the top and out the diagonal bottom. That's when I realized the back straps are supposed to be pulled around from the bottom to the front and attached to each other. Look at the third pic here - the one with the man wearing the brace. Over the large waist straps you can see the thin arm straps pulled over and attached to each other. When you do this, your shoulders are pulled WAY BACK. It is no longer loose and it works!

This runs on the small size and it doesn't your posture. not worth the money. poorly made. I found the cheaper posture supports a lot more effective.

My wife bought one of these for two reasons. She has a neck problem which is helped by 'posture control' (keeping the shoulders back). She also has a lower back problem, for which has has previously worn a support belt when she is bending over doing things like gardening, cleaning, etc. This product helps both areas at once so it has been a very good purchase for her. The biggest plus is that the straps which hold the shoulders back do not cut in under the arms like so many other posture braces do, so she is able to wear it for hours. As it is winter at this time, she has so far always worn the product over a vest or tee shirt, which has improved the comfort further.

The product works well for the price. It does offer nice support for your lower back (you can really feel your whole lower back being pushed back, specially if you tend to push your hips forward like I do), but it doesn't push your shoulders back like some people complain about. It does remind you though to keep them straight cause if you slouch you feel the bars pushing on your back. I found a quick trick to fix that though, so I wanted to share it with everyone. Some of the complaints mention it rubs on your under arm, so I attached a clip to the front (as seen in pictures), and that problem disappeared. Also, it helps support the upper back a lot more and it doesn't feel so lose! it's an easy fix and it turns this brace into a pretty awesome brace!Sizing wise, it runs small, I got a small and as you can see in pictures, I have to velcro it at the very end, and even like that it still feels pretty snug around my belly area (I can't eat with it on). It is my fault for never getting around to exchanging it I guess! If it helps for reference, I'm 5'6'' and weight 130 lbs. I wear a size 4-5 of pants.Also, I'd like to mention that for someone with bad posture like me, you won't be able to wear it for long periods of time. I can only wear it for a couple hours a day (I just recently started wearing it again after months) before I get too tired, but I'm still pleased with it.

I ordered this for my daughter who was complaining of back aches. She also had bad posture. She has been wearing it everyday since Christmas and she loves it and her posture is noticeably corrected when she is wearing it. I can't comment on the long term effects but so far I am delighted with the value we have received so far. We ordered another product that was similar but she won't use it. I should mention she is large breasted which has always added to the posture problem. Will update in time.

Difficult to size correctly. Seems to be well made but does not fit. Will be returning.Update: Return refused by merchant. Avoid this seller.

Too tight or too pinchy or piece sticking in the ribs...Probably depends on your body.

The brace was well made; however, it was obviously only made for someone that has a long torso like that picture. The back of the brace sat up high on the back of my neck. Even if I attempted to tighten it down, it bunched up on my back and I had a hump like a camel. That adjustment made the brace cut up under my arms making it very uncomfortable, too. I am obviously not built long enough to be able to wear it!
