Finally, something worth twice the price.
Ok, lets be honest. This is not a Craftman. But you'll never know it. Its a car polishers dream machine. It was received within 1 day of order, and went to work the same day. Nice. They don't mention the fact that the buffer has a "idle mode" in which the buffer slows to an idle when you pull it off of whatever you are working on, instead of whirling on load speed. That save me brushes. I like that, Have used maybe 5 times since receiving it. Worked perfect every time. Quality is equal to Craftsman, at half the price. Owned a Wen buffer before, this one is leaps ahead of the older model. Would I buy it again, hell yeah. But it will be a while the way this one is going.

Depends on what you need it for!
Edit: I gave it away to a less fortunate detailer as I've upgraded to a cordless model. The WEN is STILL GOING.Edit: May 21, 2020 and still working. This thing has saved me so much time and labor.Edit: Still going strong after a year. I use this 3-4 times a day, 5 days a week. If it quit right now, I'd buy another instantly.I am a detailer (for 18 yrs now) and I bought this to use with a 4 inch wooden wheel brush to clean mats, interior carpet, headliners and cloth seats. It is fantastic for what I use it for. It is lightweight, so it is comfortable to use with one hand holding the grip or just one hand holding the head. It keeps steady rpms when used normally and speeds up when you apply heavy pressure. Great. Soft start, also great. I've used it sparingly to actually compund and buff and it's fine for the weekend warrior, but you're going to have to get a Dewalt or Makita if you want a consistent job and a smooth machine. Weight helps with compounding in my opinion and this tool just doesn't cut it for that. Definitely can't one hand it like the heavier high speed rotarys. Also, the pressure speed sensing is a little too touchy for paint correction. That being said, I was able to successfully wet sand and buff a roof, hood and decklid in around 45 minutes start to finish, but it's not something I wanna do with this machine every day.

pretty good but could be a bit better
This polisher is an amazing deal for how much it costs. I bought it to polish headlights and it restores them to factory finish if you're careful and know what you're doing. My issue with this thing is the lowest speed is still pretty darn fast and slings polish all over the place if you're not super careful. medium speed is way too fast and full speed is down right scary. i'm not sure why anyone would want a polisher to run that fast for any polishing needs!!!that being said I guess being over powered is probably better than under powered. it really is a great bargain. get one if you need a polisher!

It works
Seems to be very powerful with no low speed. It tore up the first polishing pad. Definitely will try to use some more of not I will return it.

Impressive buffing machine
I couldn’t believe how well constructed and powerful this buffer is. I waxed my 20’ boat in less than an hour. Great product!

RPM jumps everywhere instead of trigger lock it uses some push button bling bling garbage.
The media could not be loaded. Where to begin. Anybody that knows anything about using buffing tools will tell you this thing is garbage. It's this typical bling bling trying to make something super hip with technology while the basic underlying tool won't do what it used to be able to 10 years earlier. Instead of using a variable speed trigger and a trigger lock it has some automatic RPM regulating junk. As you'll see in the video the thing is totally unreliable. And it's even dangerous cuz it speeds up on you when you don't want it to. What a human wants is the opportunity to use their brain apply pressure to the specific project observe what the RPM is and then adjust with your finger and lock it in with the trigger lock. This varies depending on the wax how much strength you are applying, the operator's weight but it literally takes 5 seconds to figure out where to dial in the tool giving all the variables versus this bling high-tech dangerous god-awful piece of whatever.

Great buffet for the hobbyist
This isn’t a buffer for someone who details for a living. However, for someone that’s going to buff their personal cars and watercraft this is a very good buffer. The reviews and warranty is what attracted me to the Wen over other models. It came with a spare set of brushes, which is nice. I don’t remember seeing that as something included. The backing pad seems decent for the expected amount of use, but the soft pad it came with looks like it’ll shed an awful lot. I’m most likely going to spend the extra money on some 3M pads, but that’s not the reason I bought it anyway. It’s pretty lightweight and i like that the handle sits in the middle of the polisher. I’ll be trying it out this weekend and if there’s anything else to say I’ll update my review.
