Favorite Reasonably Priced Iron
Love this brand for a hair tool that lasts and does what it’s supposed to. Upgraded my 1.5 inch iron for a more loose and trendy curl. My 1.5 inch curling iron is still perfectly good after about 9 years of use - and I curl my hair VERY frequently. The new wand works just as good. I find I get less damage from using the wand as opposed to a clamp style curler. There is NO heat control- on or off - but it always curls my hair without burning and my curls usually stay for a couple days. They fall out much faster with this 2” wand but my hair is very long and color treated - and I don’t pin or bonnet at nighttime. With the 2” I can usually get a day and a half in MI humid summer weather without having to touch up the curls. The heat glove works good, I don’t personally use it though as this offers a plastic end that is easy to hold onto and does not get hot. The glove would be good for beginners who are just learning how to use a curling wand or when curling someone else’s hair.Absolutely recommend :)

Works Wonderfully and is Affordable!
One of the best curling irons I have ever used! I'm not very good at styling my hair, yet I find this very easy for me to use. It's easy to hold and curls my hair wonderfully! I also love how affordable it is! I have had another size curling iron from this same brand for almost ten years now and it still works great. I also love that it comes with a glove to protect you from burning your hand. I guess the only possible negative is that you can't control the temperature but I am fine with how hot it gets.

Met all my requirements and works incredibly well
I spent so many hours researching for a new curling iron and I'm happy to report that I know I made the best possible choice. After a decade of using my black barrel, ceramic tourmaline Hot Tools curling iron, I finally had to say goodbye to it (it eventually didn't get as hot as it used to and I finally killed it when I took it abroad and plugged it into a 220V, when it's not made for that). It was a very long run so I knew I was over due anyway. My requirements for my new curling iron: needed to be ceramic tourmaline, a clip-less and non-tapered wand, heat up to at least 400 degrees, dual voltage (since I travel a lot), and 1.25-1.50 inch round (I have long hair that comes past my shoulders). This iron met all those requirements, and is made by the reputable Helen of Troy, so I went for it. Just like my last curling iron, I am able to curl my hair using no hairspray and still see loose curls the next day (I have thick, shiny, Asian hair). The iron heats up very quickly. For more casual/loose/beach waves, I was able to let go of the strand of hair just as I'm finishing wrapping it around the wand, which meant I was able to curl my entire head in record time. Holding the strand of hair on the wand for an extra few seconds will achieve tighter curls. The only complaint I have, which is why I had to knock off a star, is that in the first few curls I tried, a strand of my hair would get pulled out and stuck at the base of the iron where the iron meets the plastic stand. This was very annoying but I quickly adjusted my technique to avoid wrapping my hair near the base, and curling more towards the tip of barrel. After this little adjustment, I was able to quickly finish the rest of the strands with no issues. Hopefully they fix this design issue so that it can truly become the perfect long-hair curling wand. It truly rivals, if not beats, the irons that cost over $100.

Best hold I've ever found in a curler!!
Great price and great product. VERY hard to cut out of packaging!I have been using my clamp Babyliss 1.25" curler but instead of clamping the hair I wrapped my hair around it. A lot of times I'd end up with a mark from where the clamp was so I finally decided to get myself an actual wand curler and let me tell you, this one has NOT disappointed me!Pros: heats up very quickly, takes 15 seconds for a really tight curl that lasts me all day, excellent price pointCons: one heat setting (my Babyliss has so many!), cord is about 2 ft. shorter than my previous curler, my hair slightly gets stuck on part of it when i'm sliding it down from the barrelNormally, my hair cannot hold a curl for more than a few hours, even if I use hair spray. For reference, the picture i'm posting of my hair is AFTER brushing it out 9 hours after originally curling it, and this is in the static of winter. So this is GREAT performance in my world!

EXACTLY WHAT I WAS LOOKING FOR!
This is exactly what I was looking for! So happy. Easy to use & VERY quick to do my hair. I have hair that is a couple inches longer than my shoulders. After curling it lays just below my shoulders, so it doesn't bring it up by much when you style. I love having my hair curled, but wanted the beachy wave look instead of the normal curling iron kind. I wish I had bought this sooner because it's exactly what I was looking for. The photos in the reviews helped me a lot. I ended up with the 1 1/4" barrel (red handle) because I wanted larger waves instead of the tighter ringlets. The glove works SO well and does not make my hair static-y (I was worried about that). The learning curve was super short. I did it as a practice on my hair before bed one night and then again the following evening on one day dirty hair. I find the result to be the same on freshly clean hair & one/two day dirty (which is awesome). I don't use any product other than a heat protectant spray & hairspray to hold and lift a bit. Adorable in a pony tail. VERY VERY happy. It is hot - but I haven't noticed any signs of burning hair. Plus, it makes styling very fast.

Curls don’t last
It’s not the best for longer hair. The curls don’t last very long. You can’t adjust the temperature since there is only an on/off button. Great appearance, and comfortable to use but probably won’t buy again.
