The media could not be loaded. I wanted a decent window fan for the fall and especially the spring to draw the cool air in at night when there is no breeze. I have only used this fan a few times, but it seems to be doing that job so far.I have enjoyed using the temperature settings so that my room doesn’t get too cold at night. I have noticed that if I set the temperature to 60 degrees, it really means 65. In my video, you can see when I use the temperature settings, the fan runs at 60 and shuts off at 65 even though the temperature in the room was about 67. I also noticed that the fan shut off one night when I had it set to 60 but the room temperature was about 67, and I think it was because it was so cold outside at 30 degrees. I imagine the fan can’t read the temperature inside the room when it is significantly colder on the windowsill where it sits. I don’t really mind this discrepancy, though, because I like my room close to 65 degrees at night, and I can still achieve this so far by setting the temperature at 60.I love that it is so easy to change the direction of each individual fan with the flip of a switch, as you can see in my video, and I have been running it with one fan blowing in and one blowing out. I personally don’t find the noise from the fan irritating, though to be fair, I have another fan in the room that drowns out the noise of this fan somewhat. It isn’t the most powerful fan by any means, but for a smallish window fan, I think it has decent power, enough that it has affected the temperature of my room. As other reviewers have made clear, this fan does not come with a remote, and while that would be a lovely perk, I won’t count it against the fan since it was not promised to me and it is not a necessity for my needs.I am happy so far. Based on reviews of these double window fans in general, I am a bit worried about durability, so if this fan stops working in some way or otherwise disappoints, I will try to return to edit my review.

***UPDATE after one month of use*** I stand by all the details in my review below...but just want to add: I could not be happier with this fan. It appears to move more air--with less noise and more speed--than my old work horse Honeywell fan that I was replacing. If I had the choice to repurchase this fan...or my old Honeywell...I would choose this fan.***********************************************This fan replaces my inherited Honeywell dual fan (it was at least 30 years old...probably older). It was powerful...and was made when most fans were still made with metal blades. Consequently, it was very powerful for its size. As far as I'm able to tell fans of this style are no longer made with metal blades. The modern version of this fan appears to have been discontinued. I used my fan mostly to cool my bedroom by setting it for exhaust in the window of another room... with the windows in my bedroom open. It was very effective for this and on all but the hottest nights allowed me to turn my A/C off. Using a fan to draw air in this way requires a fan with a high CFM rating.I looked at a lot of the fans of this style that are being made today. None have all the significant features of my old fan. This fan had most of them...reversible (with the ability to have one fan exhausting with the other drawing), locking expandable side panels to give a good fit (important if you are using for exhaust), and a high cfm capacity. Many of the fans now made don't even list their cfm rating...this one is listed at over 700. (By comparison the new Vornado Transom fan--that many sources are rating as the best window fan--only moves a measly 80 cfm. I have one of these...and I love it for certain things. But it is completely unable to move enough air to cool a room as I describe above.)The main thing this fan doesn't have is the ability--when using for intake--to direct the airflow for each of the fans with rotating grills. I LOVED this feature on my old Honeywell. No fan currently being made--as far as I could discover--has it.I would prefer that it didn't have the bright LED lights. But I can live with this. If I were keeping the fan in my bedroom, this would bother me.In the comments for this...and similar fans...there are a lot of complaints about the "cheap plastic." Fans are plastic now. This will always feel flimsy and insubstantial...particularly in one that is supposed to be light enough to sit in a windowsill. This one feels pretty normal in that regard.The comments about noise level are all over the map. Fans are noisy. I didn't see a decibel rating on this one...but I found this one to be less noisy than most.There are also complaints that it "doesn't cool." Fans don't cool. They move air. This one excels at moving large volumes of air. If you are trying to get cool air in...or hot air out... it does the job well.

I received the much needed window fan today. The durability is spot on.l love the clean , sleek lines that accommodate both vertical and horizontal windows. I love the powerful breeze that it provides going out / and or coming into your space. To set a temperature on thermostat it will only operate on high speed until the desired temperature is reached. But you can manually control the speed settings if you do not use the temperature control.There is a hum as I have read in other reviews. Only my fan is humming in intervals . The best way to describe it is , it sounds like gears switching. I did call the company about this odd sound. Unfortunately it has progressed and I must return the fan . I am not sure if this is part of the motor function or just what I figure is a defective unit. It’s unfortunate, however because it really is a nice looking window fan. It comes in the actual manufacturer box. I did not try the accordion on each side so I can’t comment on that feature. The fan has a slide button for each separate fan so you may have air going out or coming in. Very nice for the price but I am afraid to replace it with another as this may be the product’s built -in sound system.Humming in intervals?

We have two of these (one to blow air into the house and one to blow air out of the house). They work well for ventilating the house when the weather cooperates. Even if the temperatures aren't the most agreeable, the thermostat settings work perfectly. The adjustable sides do get stuck, so I wouldn't use it without a window screen.

Easy to use, strong breeze, easy to set up. No complaints. I bought four to make a strong breeze.e in my home and am very happy.

Had thus for my second summer. Thermostat is really the key to smart use
