Q: does it seal out loud back ground noise such as loud music?

IT AMPLIFIES EVERYTHING, including background noise. I've gotten used to it though. Another downside is about 2 days ago the coating on the wire where it comes out of the housing is breaking through, the wire for the ear plug itself is fine, but only a matter of time before it breaks through. Please keep in mind I use it daily, 8-10 hours at a time so it gets handled very much. Would I do it again, probably not for what I need it for, which is an actual hearing aid.

Q: I have never seen the green light on the docking station turn red to show connected properly. What do I do??

It doesn't matter. The important thing is that when you connect it, the light has to be red, the ear piece switch needs to be in OFF position. then, you leave it connected until the light turns green. It may take several hours.

Q: How long for the first time charging? Should it be completely discharged before charging? What color are the indicator lights suppose to be?

the first time charging the unit, I think it was about 12 to 24 hours. red light means it is charging and green means it is charged. if one waits until it is completely discharged before one recharges it, that means it quits in the middle of using it.
