Goody Two-Sided Large Round Mirror

This is a good hard to find, double sided, inexpensive hand held mirror. I have been searching for this type mirror in stores for quite some time, but only found mirrors with bendable handles or that sit on counters. This mirror arrived just as described by the seller. It reflects a clear, accurate image -- no waves or odd distortions. There is no plastic border around the mirror to hold it in; it is apparently held by an adhesive, but it's still a good mirror for the very low price. It replaces an identical mirror I've had for well over 10 years. The mirror will last longer if care is taken to not allow glass cleaner to get under the edges of the mirror onto the silvered back. Unlike other reviewers, I had no problem removing the label. It apparently has been improved since previous reviews were written. My mirror is a pretty teal color, but the color doesn't matter to me as much as the functionality and clear image. I would buy it again.

Tacky label adhesive is quickly removed with a little lighter fluid on a tissue and it won't damage the surface. I've been using it for decades. Simply wipe off the glue and then wash the lighter fluid residue off with soap and water. BBQ fluid is dirt cheap and very effective with most difficult non-hardening adhesives such as label glue and contact cement. It seems to be a best kept secret that the sellers of expensive glue removal products don't talk about.

The goody styling mirror is fine itself. For me the size is right and it appears well made. It would be 5 stars if not for the the warning label! I'm not talking about the clear goody brand label on the flat mirror that peels off cleanly.The magnifying side has a paper label that mostly peeled off clean, but left a few spots on the mirror. Like others here I tried cleaning these off with soapy water, cleansers (formula 409), and classic "blue" glass cleaner. These cleaned the residual paper but the darn glue still fowled the mirror. This was getting frustrating.I moved from the kitchen to the bathroom. If detergent and ammonia based cleaning solutions would not work, perhaps alcohol would.With a paper towel dampened in rubbing alcohol I went after the residual glue on the mirror. It took a few minutes and a few applications but all the glue was gone.I tried not to get alcohol on the plastic frame as some plastics can be damaged. I'm sure some spots were exposed but without damage I could see.So if you get this mirror and the label leaves gluey goo behind get out the rubbing alcohol. Acetone nail polish remover might work too, but I think it much more likely to mar or damage the plastic frame.Hope someone finds this helpfulUpdated Aug 16, 2014:Thanks to L. Mann's description and reviews on the product it seems very effective at getting rid of that label "goo" and a lot of other difficult things too. Thanks again to L. Mann for the great suggestion!Updated May 3, 2016:Just over 2 years of using my Goody mirror on a regular basis. It even survived a drop, which I mostly attribute to dumb luck! Still working fine as should be no surprise. It's outlasted its predecessor from the local dollar store.Updated Aug 3, 2017:Well over 3 years now and my mirror has survived another fall (or two). Still doing it's job just fine. Still satisfied with the mirror.

If you're looking for a heavy duty, clear and working hand mirror, this is perfect for you. I mainly use it when I cut my hair in the back and I have no problems at all. At first I though it would be too small, but its just right. I can see everything I need to see with it. This mirror comes with two side. One side is just a regular mirror while the other side is a magnifying view. Great price for this kind of quality.

I had hoped for gray or pearl, but got black, which is OK, just not ideal. The mirror is pretty cheap, which makes sense for the price. There were stickers on both sides, and although the stickers came off easily, there must have been a chemical reaction between the stickers and the glass on the mirrors because no matter what solvent I've tried, the areas where the stickers were still have the rectangular area different than the mirror, Which is also not a huge deal, just detracts from the value to me. There are little scratches on both sides, very tiny.In summary, the mirrors work, the size is OK. It was cheapcons: the sticker residue, the tiny scratches, the color (not a defect, just not what I expected.) Cheap appearance.

I love this mirror! Perfect! It was exactly what I had been looking for, and was having such a hard time in finding the exact hand mirror I had in mind. Well this one is it. Fits nicely in my drawer, not taking up a ton of space. Fits real nice in my hand when using it, and the mirror itself is great! Sturdy, but not heavy! Plus it has a magnifying side to it, comes in handy at times! :)

If you enjoy spending time scraping cheap stickers and cleaning left over adhesive off both sides of your hand mirror, then this product is for you. If you prefer buying mirrors from companies that have the sensibility to put stickers on the mirror which easily come off intact, then this product is not for you.

Great little mirror to have around! One side is great for just looking at yourself, or those places a traditional stay-in-place mirror can not reach. The real shining point of this mirror is the magnified side. It's great for getting a look at yourself while plucking hairs, doing acne treatments, or anything where a closer look is needed. I use this mirror daily and It's great. It has a nice weight to it and just feels durable too.
