This kit comes with all of the essentials for soldering! I'm not an expert in soldering (novice, I'd say), but this unit and accessories have been perfect for all uses so far! I've mostly been soldering new LED chips into my smart light bulbs, but I've also done some larger-scale wiring projects. I love the iron's adjustable temperature (though I almost always use it on its highest setting), along with the nice selection of tips to use on it. I have found the thin and flat tips don't heat up as well as the thicker ones, but they still suffice for several different soldering applications. The iron heats up to full temp within about 12 seconds as well. Overall, HUGE improvement over my small generic iron with no accessories! I love using it, and I recommend it to others!

I've used a soldering gun before, but never a smaller iron like this. I wanted to start learning to work on circuitry, and am a complete beginner with that. This kit came with almost everything I needed to start out (I ended up picking up helping hands too). The instructions give some advice on how to heat the iron to protect your soldering tips, which was very helpful. I watched a couple tutorials online and got started soldering a few minutes later. The TOAUTO soldering iron heats up so much faster than the soldering gun I'm used to, and it's much easier to hold and maneuver. The station is set up very conveniently, and I think it lends to better safety. Temperature dial is very easy to turn and the gauge is very easy to see.

I only gave this four stars because the iron holder insert was missing at delivery ... seller has replacement shipped from China to be here in a few weeks.It has all the features of my old school Weller solder station at a fraction of the price -- so high marks for value and functionality. The Chinese developers did a great job at cost reduction, while retaining the needed functionality.The down side is that it's way to light, and easily scoots around on the table top ... so I will need to 3d print a heavier base for it that is weighted with a felt pad for it to sit in.

I got this soldering iron to allow me to wire up circuits and small motors. At a fraction of the price of more well known soldering iron brands, this iron is fantastic! It heats up crazy fast - from hitting the power button to sitting down, it was already up to 750 degrees. This iron works great at fusing together circuit components, and I was able to tin my 16 AWG wire pretty well. The accessories and tip set was also great, and make a fantastic collection to my tool set. Overall, I think this iron is a great deal!

First, the heating time is incredibly fast. In under then seconds from switching the unit on, i can already melt solder. Second, you'll now have a safe place to put the iron in between activities. You don't have to worry about it falling from wherever you've perched it. And of course, you now have the ability to set the temperature, with a constant read out of the actual unit temperature in °F (red) and °C (blue) it comes with extra and varied tips, a nice pair of tweezers, a solder remover and a holder that can simultaneously hold two different diameter solder reels. It's lightweight and the low price shows in the casing but the operating pieces get the job done nicely and it's easy to set the temperature and use the iron.
