Bookshelf necessity
Remember when Assassin's Creed was about parkour, stealth, and super cool outfits? Yeah, me too. This book is a testament to that age. In depth breakdown of character and costume design, stage design, and background story. A fantastic addition to any gamer/cosplayers library. It's a FANTASTIC resource for cosplayers especially, because of how detailed the images are. Filled with concept sketches, and such...I could go on and on. I'll probably get the one for Origins next. Get it, its worth it.

Yet another wonderful companion artbook
The media could not be loaded. This is yet another wonderful companion artbook for the Assassin's Creed Series. This time you get to look at Victorian London during the Industrial Revolution. Famous places and buildings are re-imagined, such as the Big Ben, Buckingham Palace, Trafalgar Square, Tower of London, Westminster, The Thames, Southwark, Whitechapel and more. Gamers who live in London should be thrilled to see those familiar sights as interpreted by artists.I love the environment art of Assassin's Creed and the art direction is fantastic. It's definitely bleak, but it's also so hauntingly beautiful as well.In addition to the environment art, there are also lots of character designs of the new assassins, supporting characters and the everyday men and women on the streets. It's pretty cool as usual to see the character and costume designs.Generally speaking, most of the illustrations are really detailed. The photo-bashing style is done extremely well. Photos are used for their textures to overlay onto the digitally drawn art and it works really well. At times I don't even get the feeling of the photo and digital art collage. I love the way they are painted in nitty-gritty style too. There are also commentary that talk about the design. It's a great artbook. Highly recommended.Do check out other Assassin's Creed artbooks if you haven't.(See more pictures of the book on my blog. Just visit my Amazon profile for the link.)

Another amazing Art of book by Paul Davies
He's so freaking good at making these Art Of books that I'm buying books for games I don't even own. This one however was one of my favorite games- AC Syndicate. The paper book cover isn't as nice as the later books (I bought mine out of order so this is the oldest of his I've bought but the most recent to arrive) but the inside cover is nicely UV coated. The pages are just beautiful and as always with his books- the images are wonderful to drool over. It really reminds me of why I loved the game and the beauty in my minds eye, looking back on a game I beat a while ago through rose colored glasses, now matches up to this artwork and vice versa. Great character art, including outfits that never got used, great location art, lighting concepts, weapons, vehicles... all here and all gorgeous. As always- 5 stars and highly recommended to any AC fan or Game Concept Art fan.

Wonderful behind-the-scenes look at the scenery/character creation
Very nice hardcover, the pages in the book are glossy and high quality. As an artist, it was interesting to read through.

Absolutely stunning!
These art books never fail to disappoint. The quality is excellent, the information is very complete if you want to learn more about "behind the art scenes" and the art itself is magnificent! If you're an AC fan and/or collector, I 100% recommend adding this to your collection.

Well...
This is a pretty decent, enjoyable art book, slightly hampered by the usual Ubisoft faffing about, and sticking to their stupid formulas. You really need to start innovating in your games and your art books, my Ubs. Other than that, pretty good.
