Replacement Spring for Pruning Shears, Precision Trimming Scissors Part for Heavy Duty Bypass Pruner, 2 inch

My clippers/pruner were left by the previous owners of my house and had no brand name anywhere on them. If you have the same dilemma, remember to measure the outside dimensions where the ends of the springs go, as well as the distance between them with the clippers fully open. Then, add about 3/4ths of an inch more to that length so that the clippers spring open properly, but are not too tight to close. And, the diameter of the ends of the spring should be about 1/16th of an inch smaller than the diameter of the opening so that they are still snug but easy to insert. (If there is a little post inside the opening, the spring diameter should also be about 1/16" Bigger than the post.) Glad that it is a pack of 2 so that I have a backup the next time the spring gets caught on a branch and flies deep into the middle of a bush, never to be seen again!

Just what I needed perfect fit.

Fits the Fiskars soft handled pruning shears just fine. The only problem is they are a bit too long, I had to nip a bit off in order to close the shears fully to be lached close. The small round ends of the spring fits well in the round indented space of the handles.

Great quality product that worked well, and easy to install, gave new life to my garden pruners.

They are not really a full 2" in length. They are 1 3/4 inches and when you open the handle fully,they fall out. Check your clippers full open distance before buying. You should have to compress thespring slightly to install it when the handles are fully open. So add at least an1/8 to 1/4 inch to themeasured opening of the handles where the spring sits.

Didn't fit my fiskars pruner like it said it would.

Snipped off two coils and it fit perfectly well in the Tabor Tools pruning shears. And this one will almost certainly not fall out on its own.

Perfect replacement item.
