George Washington's Socks (Time Travel Adventure) Paperback – February 1, 1993

Love this book! It’s a great book to read with kids that are into the Revolutionary war!

My students loved this book! It went along great when I taught the America Revolution. We read this during our quiet reading time and I had their (28 4th graders) attention the whole time!

My kids loved this book and read the sequel. As to some of the negative reviews of this book I had to laugh. This book is obviously going to have war, this book is not meant for 5 year old kids, 6 year old kids, or even 7 year old kids. It clearly states 8 and above and since it has war content I read it with my 11 and 13 year old in our homeschool. That said, it was a fabulous read and I enjoyed it. I don't know what bad words other reviews are talking about? Also I too served my country proudly as a woman veteran there is nothing in this book that is discouraging people from service their country. In fact, I think most kids of 8 and up aren't really thinking of military service at all (which is normal). That said, it's a fun book. It does have death as it is a book about revolutionary WAR. War doesn't happen without death, so if your child is too young to know about death, scared of death, or reading about anything violent with death in it. I would not buy this book. But it continues to astound me that reviews are made that are negative on how the person either didn't read the description or common sense that a book about George Washington might have war in it.Overall, I recommend this book and the sequel for kids over 8! My kids loved it.

Great book on histort

The text content of this book made learning come alive for my Students. Sitting in the edge of their seat while listening was very rewarding from an educator perspective. They didn’t was to miss a single detail!!!

For it for school, and it's a fun read has a lot of details.

Grandson is 10 years old. He is crazy about history and the Revolutionary War. He is crazy about Pres. George Washington! Just what he wanted.

My son is 10 years old, he loves both books and history, I homeschool him and am always searching for ways to combine subjects for him. This year on his 4th grade reading list, this book is listed. I love to encourage my son to read, and one of his incentives is to fill his entire bookcase with books that he has read. That being said, it can be costly to continuously purchase said books.I bought this book used and thought as long as it had all the pages, I would be happy.It may as well have been brand new. The condition was excellent. No toears, no bent pages, not even a crayon mark to be found. He began reading it the moment it arrived and has since finished it.I was more than pleased to add this book and the seller did not disappoint.
