Simple is best
I got this adapter for using a virtual "cloud" PC service to use with my laptop with only Wifi 5. I only have a 100 mb/s internet connection because I don't need any more and why pay for more than I need. Regardless for the service an ethernet connection is much much more stable than wifi 5 and since I only have a 100 mb/s connection this 10/100 USB 2 "fast" ethernet adapter is exactly what I needed....nothing more nothing less. It works very well. It improved both my ping and latency tremendously over my wifi even though my laptop is literally less than a foot away from my router. I have no issue whatsoever with this adapter and it works exactly as it should for it's use case.

Works great, Inexpensive !
This unit was inexpensive and worked great. I had problems with my router and was locked out, I needed to go into the dashboard to repair it. To do so, I needed to have a wired connection to my router and modem. I didn't realize that the new laptop computer that I had just purchased doesn't have a place to plug in a CAT 6 cable. So I ordered this adapter and received it in just a few days. Just plugged the C- end into my laptop and the other end into the CAT 6 cable It was that simple, and the problem was solved.

Roku streambar pro wired internet connection
My Roku streambar pro all of a sudden lost all wireless internet connection and I was about to throw away the whole system after trying all the reset options I was able to find online. It was driving me crazy that I was about to have an expensive paperweight. It finally occurred to me to try a wired connection and after some research came across a forum recommending this dongle. I was unsure if it would work but given the price I said why not.Product was delivered fast and looks sleek and modern (unlike the other bulky recommendations). It was a simple plug and play, along with a cat8 ugreen Ethernet cable, to my internet router and voila! My Roku was back in business. The wireless connection is still messed up for whatever reason but as long as my wired connection runs smoothly I’m happy. As others pointed out, the “10/100 only” Ethernet speed is what’s needed to have a wired connection for a Roku device which was true for this case. Have not tried out a 10/100/1000 but will probably do out of curiosity since the dongles are cheap enough. If I do I’ll update this review.

Plug and Play
Just plug and play! Worked right out of the box at the slower speeds.

Connected my Chromebook and TV
This is a great little gadget. I want to move away from Wi-Fi to wired connection in my home and this does it so easily. It connected my Asus Chromebook to Ethernet and also my 32" Hisense Roku TV that doesn't have an Ethernet port in back.I just plug this gadget into the USB port and the Ethernet wire to the other end of it and the TV is now wired without needing WiFi. I'm thrilled with it.

Works with Roku Soundbar!
Wanting to use a hard wire internet connect with newly purchased Roku Soundbar, via Mac. According to Roku help site, ONLY a 10/100 Mbps ethernet adaptor with an AX8877x chip set will allow for the option. This product is both 10/100 and AX8877x. The use of the product allowed me to use a hardwire internet connect rather than the default wireless option. Heck of a time trying to find a product that worked and this did the trick. This specific model should be listed as an option on the Roku Soundbar help site, but is not.

This is a magical thing that makes another thing do what you wouldn't expect it to do
What is this sorcery? Well as others have pointed out this will make a cheap 3 series TCL TV that doesn't have an Ethernet port, well have one. It's not exactly plug and play, but it's not difficult either. Plug this into the USB port, forget all WiFi networks, reset the network connection, reboot, maybe twice, and there you go connected to wired network. I have lots of USB Ethernet adapters, and yea I tried this before, didn't do anything, but this one, this one magically works, must be the only chip they support on the USB port. A Fire Stick adapter does not work, no gigabit adapter I have works, Realtek ones don't work, but this one does, and it works just like the port is built in (mostly), show wired and wireless MACs in the About, supports cloud control, Apple Homekit, all the features of the TCL TV. And it's a whole lot more stable than the iffy WiFi these TVs come with. it's a good thing.

Works on the Wii!
Despite the description saying that it won't work on Nintendo Wii, it does in fact work. It took awhile for it to connect, but it did eventually.
