Why did you pick this product vs others?:I had been a 20 year user of Braun Series 7 shavers, and I wore them out. So I tried a Braun Series 9, which was severely disappointing. It didn't cut well and the trimmer was almost useless, especially compared to the Series 7. I wanted to try something different. Reviews of this Remington said that it was good with flat-lying hairs. I looked closely at the images of the Remington and realized that the trimmer was similar to the Series 7. And the Remington was much, much less expensive.I'm thrilled with the quality of cut, without razor burn. I recommend

This shaver gives a nice close shave. It fits in the hand and is easy to manipulate. The side trimmer works very well and it also has an easy to read charge light. I also noticed that it doesn't bog down when using it in battery mode. I was a Wahl man but not any longer.

I've used Remington electric shavers for decades and when the battery wouldn't recharge, or I needed replacement parts, I'd go to the then many Remington stores and they'd keep it running. I bought an expensive Braun a few years ago and it was okay, but too much trouble, with the charger I had to buy cleaner fluid for and so on. When the coiled cord started cracking on the Braun, I retired it and went back to wet-shaving.I bought this Remington shaver on impulse and I'm glad I did. First, it reminds me of the Remington shaver I used for years and using Williams Lectric Shave, it shaves as close as wet shaving. However, it takes a couple of weeks to transition and it takes maybe half-again longer at first.I have only one complaint, explaining the only reason I give it four instead of five stars. The on-off switch is in the middle of the shaver's handle and I'm finding that I'm shutting it off as I used it. My old one's switch was on the bottom, which is a better place for it.

This Remington. F5 shaver is great Shaved so close and not. Bulky. The price point i think is so good. You will be surprised and I can compare it to other well known brands and I personally like this F5 model and yes. The price too. Try it if you are looking for a new shaver

BEST SHAVER EVER!!!!To any reading this I am an African-American male getting ready to depart for basic training on Jan 13th (todays date of this review is Oct 12th) I have always had problems with the usage of regular razors and getting razor bumps. However, being clean shaven is part of the requirements and with the pay and duty requirements for regular enlisted I knew I wouldnt be able to go to the barber every other day to stay smooth.I searched literally for a week before deciding on which particular shaver to buy. I looked at the top expensive models from Braun and Panasonic but couldnt quite bite the bullet cuz of the price tag. After I figured out that I wouldn't spend more than 100 bucks I started looking at features of each specific razor. Keep reading:The thing that caught my eye about this is the Interceptor Shaving Technology. Basically it has a built in trimmer in between the two foils that will cut hair longer than stubble to stubble length. Every other foil shaver and even rotary shaver I looked at did not have this feature. And even my barber told me that with electric shavers you really have to not let the hair get longer than stubble or else they wont work. This appealed to me as more of a preventative and unique measure but still very beneficialI originally received this razor on Sept 24th and I have been using it for about 2 and a half weeks and have been using it without fail ever since. In my case a couple weeks before I received it I stopped shaving because I had to let my face heal from trying to use a regular razor so I had about a solid 1/16th inch of hair covering my face. I unboxed it, read the instructions, and it took about 8-10 mins but the result was like I had shaven with a razor. I had no whiskers or stray hairs anywhere and my skin felt baby smooth and not irritated!I have been using it ever since without fail and still NO RAZOR BUMPS only baby smooth skin!!It's cordless so all you have to do is make sure it's charged before you use it. Some tips:1)Don't use alot of pressure when shaving.2)DO NOT go in circles or fast. Use deliberate kind of slow straight back-forth up/down side to side motions. This thing has a pivot head that adjusts to the contours of your jawline and neck. After using for a little bit you will notice a sound difference when it is actually cutting vs going over smooth hair free skin3)Make sure your skin is clean and completely dry and not oily4)Make sure you clean after every use. This helps to keep the razors under the foil able to cut like a regular razor5)For supreme results use day and night. I personally, use it at night only but my friend who I recommended this to has facial hair that grows extremely fast so he has to use it more but is still baby smooth and bump free like meI have recommended this to ALL of my friends and think I will purchase another one just in case it ever breaks or whatever. It is that good. LOVE IT!!!!!!

Well: I was reading customer reviews concerning this particular Remington razor. Being a black male. I look for razors that are excellent when it comes to causing few or little to no razor bumps. I used the Remington razor for an entire week. I didn't get any razor bumps. But: I sure did get a lot of irritation bumps! You have to go over the same hairs so many times. By the time you get down to the skin. Your skin has been irritated! Yes: I shortened the hair with the trimmer/edger first. I've used the Wahl: 7339-300 for at least 15-years. It's quick: cuts well after 2 or 3 strokes. Absolutely no irritated skin or irritation bumps. I keep the Remington razor in the bathroom as a spare: just in case my Wahl 7339-300 unexpectantly goes out on me. Sorry: it is just not the Remington razor for me. Highlights: Remington's battery life was very good: and very easy to clean.

The quality is top notch. Battery lasts a long time. Can get 10 uses before charging. I estimate 2 weeks in between charges. Have been using this model for 10 years. Very proud of the quality. Have only had to replace it once! Clean and close shaving is what I love about this!
