Pefect replacement for my hotpoint HULT742 machine
I was disappointed to find my Hotpoint HULT7 42 failing to heat water after about 8 years. This was its second failure (first was a failed water pump, which I also replaced).I was pleased to find the replacement part for about £10 here. The old one was a little difficult to get out, but once I got it out, my multi-meter told me the resistance was "infinity" rather than the 30 ohms it was supposed to be.The new part seemed identical to the original, and I've done 4 or 5 washes since changing it and its heating again. Too earlier to comment on longevity, but so far so good.

Good genuine part
Genuine part at a very good price. Can be tricky to remove existing element as the rubber seal swells.. you tube will help.

Correct fitment, but already failed.
Part fitted and worked for a short period of time, but has now broken less than two weeks outside of the return period.

Genuine replacement part!
Perfect for my Hotpoint HULT742, remember you can test the old element with a multimeter, check for resistance and or open circuit! YouTube it if you're not sure!Mine had failed after 6 years of hard graft, unplug washing machine, remove back plate, disconnect wiring, remove nut but not all the way, hit it hard to dismember the seal, using pliers pull out, clean area, insert new heating element, tighten up, refit connectors, turn on and run a wash and check for leaks, wait until complete, unplug, fit back cover and plug back in! :)All working and all for a tenner! Calgon in every other wash from now on haha!
