Class A Customs 40 Gallon RV Waste Black Water Holding Tank WT-4000

I bought this to build a shower house at our family camp site. I've done only a little rv plumbing, but I have experience with normal house plumbing. We have a septic tank and could have connected directly with a standard toilet with flush tank on the back, but I wanted to use an RV toilet to reduce the risk of the toilet freezing in winter. Anyway, the tank came very quickly and shipped free from Amazon. That alone saved a small fortune. The tank came fitted with an outlet. You'll need to buy the valve etc. I located and cut (with a hole saw) the holes for the inlet and vent. You could also use a jigsaw to cut your inlets. Make sure to order the rubber grommets for these. They only make 3" grommets so buy a bushing to step down to whatever pipe size you are using. I used 1 1/2" pvc for the vent. I also had to order a 3 7/8" hole saw as none were available locally. Once I had all the parts and tools it went together smoothly. Pro tip- Install the tank before putting your flooring down. It will be way easier. Tank has been in service for about a month now and so far so good. Great tank, free shipping, at the best price I could find locally or online.

My black tank was leaking, the guy that was going to fix it said to order this, then no call no showed twice. Requested a refund after going under and seeing it wasn't the one that matched. The seller allowed it, but I would pay shipping back, which in my case would have been half the product value. Wasn't worth it for me to return. I got under and measured everything out, with new piping, braces, and a new angle it would fit.So, it's been installed now for less than a week. Cutting into it, I was pleased that the tank was thicker than my last one. There aren't any random holes I've found in it yet. The exit valve work that came on the tank was a little sloppy, but otherwise I can't complain about it. The angle is also really nice, things flow on direction from start to finish, and it holds is at a good angle for proper flow. If anything goes wrong with it, I'll update, but it's worth what I paid for it so far.

Tank dimensions was just what I needed, everything fit perfect, BUT, the top of the tank where the logo is was recessed right where my fitting needed to go, had to work around it,see photos, big headach, that logo needs to be moved to the bottom of the tank.

Very good service, super attentive, I bought a tank for my trailer that for some construction error came with a small crack in the mouth and when I explained my problem to the seller did not hesitate to help me and sent me a new mouth with a sealant to change it, the attention and the product was finally five stars

The weld on the top edge was obviously not inspected. These spots holes that go through to the inside of the tank. I wanted them to send me a replacement and for them to pay to have the faulty tank returned. Instead I was given instructions to take it to a UPS store and pay for the required postage. The cost of shipping this to my house and then back will be just shy of the cost of the unit. Keep in mind you also may need to pay a restock fee if a new box needs to be used, it was shipped in a standard oversized box with zero protection. Looks like a good product just luck of the draw I guess, but I need to decide if I should just take it somewhere to have it repaired or eat the cost and send it back….. do. I buy it again and end up paying for 2 tanks with all the shipping costs but only end up with 1 tank that is hopefully usable

While it didnt exactly line up with the previous tank, after some slight modification it worked just fine, sturdy and quality material
