good activity for kids
As a speech language pathologist, I was looking for some Spanish articulation resources. I like that each page features a letter with corresponding pictures starting with that letter. Some of the pictured words are a little difficult for my kids to understand and say though.

Fun coloring book
This is an extremely basic coloring book, with a lot of different pictures for each letter. Each letter averages 11 small black and white pictures for you to color in, and that's how many pictures on a page. There are 21 different pages, so there are about 230 different different small pictures.Since it's a coloring book, there are no colors on the inside of the book, which should have been obvious to me, but I was a little surprised that I had to color in the pictures myself. But, if you're expecting a coloring book, this is awesome! Here's an example of the words on the L/LL page: el loro (the parrot), el lápiz (the pencil), el león (the lion), la luna (the moon), el lobo (the wolf), leyendo (reading), el libro (the book), llorando (crying), la llave (the key), la lluvia (the rain). And, there are 20 other pages with words just like these. So, most are pretty common words for a kids' book, but there are a couple words with a little more difficulty, too.

Not a great coloring book
My First Spanish ABC Picture Coloring Book was somewhat disappointing. The book fits 12 pictures (including a picture of each letter of the alphabet) on each of the 21 coloring pages. Each picture has a Spanish word below. There could be some confusion as to what the Spanish word pertains to unless you look at the word list at the end of the book. For example on page 18, there is a picture of a smiling girl with glasses and the word "sonriendo". It's not apparent right away that the word means smiling. I believe that it would have been easier to understand if there was a small arrow pointing to her smile. There are several examples like this, but other pictures such as window and trumpet are easily understood. For those parents sensitive to showing pictures of mythical or pagan creatures to their children, you might not want to buy this book. It shows pictures of a witch, a ghost, and a unicorn. Otherwise, this book teaches the Spanish words for animals, objects in the house, clothing, occupations, and other things. On a scale of 1 to ten, I give this book a 6.5 for hard to color, small pictures with small details, and including some hard to follow illustrations that leave you searching the word list to find out what the Spanish word means.

Very Visual
Any language needs visual to learn. This is a good tool for young children that can go to 3rd or 4th grade. I used with K-2

Perfecto!
Great way to get your children to learn the Spanish alphabet. This book can be used to make mini picture books for each letter. each page separates pictures into equal boxes just like the cover. an entire page designated to each letter. recommend for Spanish teachers too!

There is no W. I am not going to teach my child the alphabet without a W.
