Get these. My massage therapist told me to get a TENS unit and I remember the big version of the unit from my shoulder physical therapy 3-4 years ago. THESE ARE THE BEST! The family pack is great but it's only me here. However, the pads are reusable and last long. I've only had to open four of them so far (a pair). This unit is VERY powerful. I can only set it to the first level before muscle contraction or twitching starts. The 20 modes are WONDERFUL. It doesn't take long to figure out which mode works best for which body area. The instructions are very thorough but if you want more guidance, there are plenty of videos on Youtube. The muscle relief after just 20 minutes is immediate. I haven't gone beyond a 30 minute session and really that's all that's necessary most of the time. I've used this TENS on my shoulder, forearm, lower and upper thigh, ankle, and back after a month of intense travel (3 continents and 8 cities in 4 weeks) and it has been a godsend. It also made my post-travel massage a lot better because I didn't have as many deep knots and sore spots that I usually have. What I'm most impressed by--besides the immediate relief--is how long the batteries last. The unit comes fully charged and I haven't had to recharge it since I bought it. The unit has a nice size carrying case that can hold the unit, the cables, the pads tray and 4 of the small pads comfortably. I look forward to taking this on long trips or even flights.

I have been using this TENS unit for over 2 months and it works wonderfully! I have some back issues that sporadically flare up and this has been a much needed relief aid. The unit is smaller and much lighter than my phone and sits nicely in my pocket and no one knows I’m using it. Don’t let the size fool you. It is a powerful little unit and I like the various settings that I can choose to use. The unit came fully charged and ready to use. I have used it quite a bit and have only had to charge it once so far! I purchased unit/set that comes with a lot of extra pin pads, because I thought that I’d go through them quickly (thinking that the adhesive would wear off). The adhesive is long-lasting. When I’m not using the unit, I store the patches on the provided convenient holder, wrap the wire around it and put it in a sealed plastic sandwich bag. The wire used to attach the patches to the unit is nice and long, almost a little too long, but that’s not really an issue. I just either wrap it around the unit or stuff it in the convenient pouch, that is provided, and put it in my pocket. All in all, I feel that this is a great unit and I would highly recommend it.

This thing is such a relief for my chronic lower back spasms. I've struggled with lower back issues since I left law enforcement. The duty belt I had to carry just destroyed my posture. This machine brings me so much relief when my spasms flare up. I use it frequently while I'm cooking in the kitchen, and even when I'm laying down to relax after a long day. Works great! Battery lasts long!

Pros: this works great. It feels exactly as the ones my PT used. I like that you can choose your options.Cons: I don't really feel a difference in the different usage options you can scroll through. It's possible that it's adjusting the order of when each pad goes off, but mine all seems to work together. Another person mentioned that they were able to use each pad a couple of times. BUT, I think it depends on the pads. I had a set that easily went four rounds. And another where the adhesive lasted only two rounds. Both were used in the same places (left side vs right side). When I say that the adhesive only lasted two rounds, I mean that by round 3 one of the sets was having a hard time sticking to me. So... kind of defeats the purpose. I kept trying to stick it back on and touching out the wrong moment (so my fingers would get zapped, lol). My massage therapist suggested these as she uses them when she doesn't have time to see another massage therapist.One quick note on these: they are kind of hard to put on your back if you're by yourself. I mean... kind of obvious, but worth noting since some of them DO stick on well.Overall, pricing was good, the product is good, it did relax my back, but the pad quality seemed to vary.

I have never owned a TENS device before so I selected this one based on the features I thought would be most useful. I am treating intermittent muscle pain following a hip replacement. (I had tried TENS in PT and found it to be helpful.) I am very pleased with the product and think it provides good value for the price.I have used it twice a day for a month and the battery is only just now showing a slight decline. Having 10 modes allows me to vary the impulses each day and avoid having the muscles get habituated to the same stimulation. This was one of the few devices that came with extra pads, which I had a hunch I would need. Yes they do lose their stickiness over time and I will be unwrapping new ones soon. It will be the icing on the cake if the device lasts for multiple years, since I hope to use it in the future as other aches and pains crop up.

I picked this unit over the others because of all the extra pads and accessories, the fact that it is digital, and its size (it is much smaller than my iPhone but still easy to see the options on the screen). I use it for chronic back pain which is in the middle of my back, making it difficult to place the electrodes by myself. I don't think this would be a problem for other areas. I did notice that the pads stayed sticky after moving them multiple times. I love choosing from all the modes but haven't found one with a constant current. I think it just takes some getting used to. I do not like the auto shut-off as I sit for my job (which is what exacerbates my pain) and use it for most of the day. Battery life is excellent - have been using it for several days and the battery is still fully charged. I don't like that there is no battery replacements but it does come with a handy USB charger. Overall, very satisfied with this unit.
