Good product

Just need to add a 9 volt battery and place under sink or by hot water heater. Has loud noise to alert for a water leak.

Simple and they work

A real world test demonstrated that these alarms are plenty loud enough to be heard from the basement. Battery installation was easy if you take your time and don't force it. Putting them on a sheet of paper towel as some have suggested greatly improves the effectiveness and coverage area for each alarm.

In position, hope they work

When putting in battery, make sure the wire is not below battery, or can not put back together. For some reason I could not close the device correctly. I do not think it will bother the function. Placed on paper towel, on metal surface, per instructions. Mildly expensive, when includes batteries that must perchance. Not sure why battery only lasts one year. Wish there was a way you could check (like with smoke detector) if battery still working right.

It definitely works

Put this under my sink a little over a year ago. Wife and I were in the back of the house and heard the beeping. It actually took a few minutes to figure out what it was then I remembered I had stuck one under the sink. As advised I had put it on a folded paper towel that had received roughly a tablespoon of water. Figured out some water had gotten down the sprayer shaft when she was doing dishes. So it was loud enough to hear across the house in a closed cabinet, it detected a very small amount of water and the batteries have been it for over a year. That's a winner in my book.

Alerts you to water leaks

Very reliable. I have had two alerts to water leaks and it has saved me a lot of damage. I just ordered 3 more to put under my sinks in the bathrooms.

It works

Works. I tested and it took about a second for it to register the water. 4 stars since there appears to be no test button and the screw on feature to insert the battery needs improvement in my opinion.

Great for price

Put a battery in it and leave it in lowest area near water lines. Under sink next to water heater or under. Mine are under kitchen sink, bathroom sink and under electric water heater.

Easy, loud and very moisture sensitive.

Placed them behind the toilets and under one sink. We used different sensors for other locations because we needed small sensors wired to alarm to allow for placing the sensors in tight somewhat unreachable spots like under the dishwasher and behind the washing machine. For accessible spaces though I think these pucks are probably the best.

I still works after 3 months. The sound is not that loud (I use Duracell batteries)

I still works after 3 months. The sound is not that loud hence 3 stars instead of 5. I installed Duracell batteries. The sensor does detect water on the ground. The battery appears to be holding after 3 months of use. If handled with care, the plastic case should withstand the stress caused by the battery change.Update after 10 months: I increased rating to 4 of 5. The Duracell battery is still holding well and the alarm appears to detect water when 2 of 3 contacts are immersed.

Saved our bacon

Folks if you live in a condo please by this. I purchased three and put one under our sink. Three weeks later the faucet leaked and the sensor went off. It sounds just like a smoke detector. I can not emphasize this, BUY THESE IF YOU OWN A CONDO!!!!!!!!!!!

Great product for an economical price

Shortly after installing this product I had a leak under my kitchen sink and the alarm sounded at 3 AM. It was caused by the dishwasher discharging water into that same area. The device was even full of water and yet still kept working. I have recommended this product to dozens of other people in my condominium complex.
