After a "lifetime" of Microsoft Windows...I am LOVING LINUX MINT!!!
This is a great product. It does what it says it will...with no problems. I tried it out on my older Toshiba Satellite that I had upgraded with quadruple the original RAM, as well as a new 500GB Crucial SSD...effectively making it a fast little laptop.I had originally made these upgrades to run Windows 7, and was actually happy with that. However, Microsoft decided to discontinue support for Windows 7 coming in Jan. 2020...and the graphics required by Windows 10 meant that this older machine won't work. That's fine...I have a newer one also. However...if I wanted to keep the older machine that I enjoy also...it was time to switch to Linux.Being a long time Windows user, I chose Linux Mint 19 Cinnamon. Everything is familiar. Who knows...I may end up switching to one of the hundreds of other distros...but for now, I am loving Linux Mint 19! I was disappointed at 1st to learn that I didn't have access to Brave Browser - something that I have come to love - then I realized that I could have it...I just had to input the commands in the terminal to do so. This is very simple...I looked it up online - and followed the very simple instructions...now I am using the Brave Browser as I write this review. If you want to try Linux Mint 19...this is a great way to do so. If you like it...it is very simple to go ahead and make the switch. If you decide not to make that switch...you can simply remove the flash drive...and you are back to Windows. No harm, no foul.

Failed device
DO NOT ORDER THIS, IT IS NOT SET UP PROPERLY. It allows you to download it but it does not download to your computer. It just replaces the same file on the usb repeatedly. If you are not paying attention, you will accidentally delete your current Operating System. If you desire Linux, the download is free online, simply burn it onto a disc and use that instead. Much simpler, much faster, much more reliable.

Worth every penny
I had what I thought was a dead laptop. I started playing around with it out of bordum, and didnt get very far. Then the magic of a bootable USB came into my life. Not only is Linux better than Windows in my humble opinion, but this USB completely renewed my old laptop. Before, it wouldnt even boot. After, it is working faster than it ever did. I was a little hesitant because I didnt know anything other than Windows. I also tried a different OS before this that almost made me give up. Glad I purchased this item. I use this laptop every day and learn new awesome ways to customize it. :) Its very user friendly and the support community online is amazing. You can get any question answered at any time in a simple google search, and dedicated people that created this amazing OS and hundreds of people to turn to with questions are peppered all over the internet. Best part, if you want to upgrade to a new version, you just download it for free. Same as any applet or program. I can't say enough great things about this. If you are on the fence, buy it and try it. You wont be sorry.

Personally, didn't work:
The media could not be loaded. Okay, now before you click away from this I'm NOT saying it's a scam. I just couldn't get it to work with my laptop. And the cause? I believe my laptop's USB ports are messed up. I'm sure if you were to try it yourself it would work. So, I just need to replace my laptop since it's USB ports aren't working. (And it doesn't have DVD/CD ROM Drives). The flash drive DOES contain necessary files (from my initial inspection with my desktop PC). And the USB even comes with instructions if I remember correctly. So, give it a try.

This Linux Mint USB Stick Really Works!
I was a little leery about getting this product, although the price was incredibly reasonable when compared to...say...buying a new PC or a new Chromebook. I just wanted to keep my HP laptop going, after Microsoft announced it would no longer support Windows 7 (then, my current OS). The install went flawlessly, and the install part of the program had no problem in re-partitioning my 500GB hard drive. I'm no computer geek, so I was grateful for that. I was also mystified by something that I discovered after the successful install. Instead of having a 500GB drive, with about 389 GB storage space (after Microsoft proprietary "stuff" took up a third of the space), I wound up with hard drive space of 648GB! I don't know how that happened, but I'm very happy about the extra storage. Linux Mint is still an OS that I'm getting used to, but I already like it's similar "look" to Win 7 and the much lower risk of viruses. I think this purchase saved me, easily $200-300, since I didn't have to replace my Win 7 HP laptop!

Linux on a USB stick. Great option to try Linux out. Just don't expect any customer support.
The concept was great. The ability to try Linux out without having to commit to it. I had questions so I contacted the seller using the email address included with the order. No response. Their website was full of links that were no longer operational so I am not sure I would expect any help. At any rate I figured everything out and permanently installed Linux on my hard drive in a dual boot with Windows 10.

Spectacular! "hardware issues" errors from windows were a lie!
So I was having many many problems with windows 7, then windows 10. I built my computer myself and know that there is absolutely nothing wrong with any component in it, its not even super outdated. Windows kept telling me that I have memory problems, hard drive issues, etc. etc. Blue screen of death several times a day! I had to wipe my hard drive(s) and reinstall windows at least every day. I couldnt keep anything, so frustrating! Then I decided I had enough and had a hunch my machine was perfectly fine, in fact, I have a pretty decent computer so I tried Linux. I have never used a Linux Distro before. I replaced windows with the Linux Mint OS and everything works awesomely! No problems! My computer is 100 times faster, absolutely no crashes, I can play all of my games, use most of my programs, and there are even better programs, and FREE ones that are better for Linux! If I had only made the switch from the very beginning. I kick myself for not switching a long time ago! Thank you, you saved me a ton of money and time and frustration. (boyfriend said I need a new computer..PSHAA!)
