CaldoLinen Dinner Napkins - Rustic- Soft and Durable Cloth- Washable and Reusable - 4 Pack - 20x20 inch (Mustard)

I *almost* wish I had not purchased these and didn't know the difference. In light of the pandemic I have had trouble sourcing paper napkins, so I decided to order cloth napkins for the family and just convert over to that. I ordered two sets of 12 of a different option here on Amazon in two colors. They weren't very soft but they got the job done for everyday. After a couple of weeks, we decided it would be easiest to manage if we had four colors, one for each of us just to manage everything and simplify the new process. A napkin or so a day thrown into the wash, a load a week of just napkins. So I hopped on amazon to look for more. I happened upon these and in my haste to stop wasting time researching NAPKINS and move on with life, I just decided to hit buy. They were $10 more than the $20 I had spent on the 12 pack of the other brand but I compromised because they had the coral and gray colors that I liked. I sat proud of myself for not over researching this one time. I did not even notice that these were not a pack of twelve but a pack of FOUR. I couldn't believe it when they arrived, but sure enough, I paid $30 for 4 napkins... which is completely ludicrous to me and unjustifiable. AND YET. The difference in how they feel is beyond remarkable. Night and day. These feel SO NICE. I really, really wish I'd never felt them because now I can't go back. They absolutely without question absorb better than the $20-12pack of another brand. I hate that I spent money on the others now. It still bothers me immensely that these could cost THIS MUCH for four measly napkins, but in this case, I suppose you get what you pay for. How could I be so giddy over a silly cloth napkin? So I guess, if you don't have to worry about money, I'd absolutely invest in these.

These are a lovely linen. Sturdy, well stitched, great size.When I opened the Amazon box, the quality fabric and workmanship of the Abbot Fjord white linen napkins surprised me. First, I purchased eight napkins. Once they arrived and I had washed them, tried them out, and rewashed them, I was pleased and ordered another set for a total of twelve white napkins.I bought these and was not compensated for my purchase.The Abbot Fjord napkins remind me of the beautiful ones my grandmother used to pull out for special occasions. Quality from a bygone era. However, I don’t save them for holidays, but we use them regularly for my family of seven. We are trying to wean ourselves off the disposables that we have used for years.I do NOT usually treat stains or iron these napkins. I mean, we are using them daily and don’t have time or energy to fret. They look nice unironed. I might trouble with ironing for Thanksgiving Dinner with my grandmother’s Dresden China, but they are lovely unironed and presentable out of the dryer for dinner guests.So far, so good (one month of daily use). Spaghetti sauce has been the only stain. It was a shadow and not red at all, as spaghetti sauce on a Pier One cotton napkin stained. After my regular routine of the washing machine and Charlie’s soap failed to get it out, I was curious if the stain would come out and soaked a napkin in oxiclean on the stovetop as Abbot Fjord recommended. It did.FYI: The company will send you an email with a list of simple stain treating remedies, which was useful and on hand without a trip to the store.Overall, I am pleased with my purchase and will order more when my budget allows.Update 11/25/19:When I purchased these napkins, They were made by another company, Abbott Fjord. The company has since been sold. Therefore, I cannot judge Caldo napkins since I do not own any made by Caldo. Please take this into consideration when reading my review. Thx!

The 'coral' color is more of a washed out, faded red. The napkins seem fine, but this was a huge let-down when I opened the package, I wouldn't have paid money for this color.Ordered the 'coral' color. Even in the brightest sunshine, there is no way these can get as light as the 'coral' color in the product photo. Someone got a little over-enthusiastic in post-production editing the vibrance and exposure on that photo.Misleading, as I love the coral color on the product photo, and this red color is more christmasy and not a good fit for the colors where we keep our table. Won't be ordering any other sets from this company.

These are worth the price. They do not compare to any others I have tried out. They are thick and beautiful and soft after a couple of washes. Take them out of the dryer while still slightly damp, shake out, and fold, for that rustic look. 90% linen and 10% cotton.

They look great and don’t feel stiff like some cloth napkins. I use them right out of the dryer, for an informal look. They do iron up nicely if you want a more formal look. They wash and dry well and I haven’t seen any stains. Great purchase!

These are nice napkins. I took one star off because the actual color is a lot darker than shown on Amazon, but I kept them because the color works for me. I washed and air dried them flat so I didn’t have to iron them. I’m hoping they soften up over time as they’re a little stiff right now, but that may be from air drying.

These are beautiful napkins. Fine weight for every day and hold up to the washing machine . They are linens so of course we didn't expect them to be wrinkle-free but they are amazingly stain resistant considering that they are indeed Linen. We are totally in love with them. We got a set of each color. They are big enough so that we can use one color napkin as a placemat and then an alternate color as the napkin to mix & match with the placemats. The coral color is our favorite.

Held up nicely to washing on delicate cycle and drying on low heat without shrinking. Beautifully textured cloth napkins. I tried and returned two other brands (INFEI and Dll) before settling on these. A little bit more than I wanted to spend (about $5 more per pack of 4), but worth it compared to the stiff feel of the other brands. I think I'll be happy with these for a long time - happy with this purchase!

Those napkins are fine if you place them in a serviette ring. They feel soft, and they wash well.However, do not try to fold them into any patterns / decorations, as not one of them is a true 50 x 50 square... on average one side is 3-4 cm longer than the other, which makes very messy looking table decorations.

Great look and feel, and the colour is perfect. I love these napkins and the range of other fabulous colours means next time we need more napkins we’ll be getting there ethically sound product , maybe some of the other items too.
