GEDORE - 1592912 OX 355-0700 Curved Adze 70 mm

The steel is good quality, requiring considerable sharpening. One of the few, new, curved adze tools that are heavy enough for long handle/big swing adze work. A nice hickory 'adze' handle from supplycache.com will with fit this tool eye correctly with some sanding. The curved handle also fits other vintage adze tools

For whatever reason, the handles are sold separately from this adze. And the handles are in short supply. I had to improvise with a hickory US handle and file/sand it to fit. Result was good. But if you don't have the skill set, buy the proper handle when available and a spare.

Adze head is solidly built from a seemingly decent steel. Fit with the designed handle is so-so, it comes with no real cutting edge. I anticipate ~30 minutes to an hour of work sharpening and fitting it.
