TorchUpgrades MagLite LED Conversion/Upgrade Bulb 1300Lm 3D 4D 5D 6D Cell High Power Torch/Flashlight Cree Compatible/Replacement for MagLite

I purchased this product for an upgrade to my 6D Maglite. I saw it on a youtube review and was excited to install it, except there are no instructions! Review is below if you care to read it.1. Unscrew the head of the flashlight, just keep turning, it will come off. Then remove the lense portion of the head so you can remove the reflector cone and unscrew the retainer ring around the bulb by turning it counter clockwise.2. If you have a regular incandescent bulb that matches the look of the bottom of this device you are in luck, simply remove your bulb and install this one and screw the head back on, congrats, your done.3. IF YOUR BULB WAS THE TINY ONE WITH THE TWO TINY WIRES. Get a small screwdriver and press the small brass circle on the side of the barrel all the way down to the very bottom. This will pop up the bulb retainer assembly for removal. lift this assembly out, you no longer need it.4. install the new LED into the flashlight head and screw the head back on.Now for the review portion.This LED is expensive. Is it worth it on a brightness per dollar ratio? I don't know, I wanted something rated at close to 1000 lumens and this was what came up on my search. I dont have the money to buy 10 different kits and compare them all. In the dark any light will be bright. I already have a 6 D cell flashlight so the regular bulb was bright, but not disorienting. I wanted something that would be near blinding in case of intruders. I think it fits that description so to me the money was worth it. It is coming from the UK which for me is ok and I have bought items on amazon before from overseas but this particular order took almost 2 months to arrive. That's a long time but my package was delivered eventually. I will chalk the wait time up to the Covid-19 virus and give the seller the benefit of the doubt this time. The device itself has three different brightness outputs which is nice because you don't always want to be blinded if you are just searching for something or looking for a bit of extra light for a craft project. The beam is NOT adjustable as far as the spot, however the reflector gives a nice all around wash of light in a wide pattern and the center circle is VERY VERY bright. on the regular maglite with the adjustable beam if you were to focus down to the smallest and brightest dot setting it is very similar to that.I hope I have helped if anyone else is having trouble figuring out how to install this item, that tiny bulb almost got me.Have a great day!

I converted my 3 battery mag flashlight with this 1000 luman conversion kit and it’s not as bright as my Sog dark energy DE-06 and my nightcore MH27 1000 luman flashlight blows it away in brightness at 1000 luman light. The conversion kit i bought for mag light was a complete waste of money would not recommend it to anybody to buy and it was more yellow light than bright white that a Cree light bulb is supposed to throw out it’s junk , Chris.

This is a very well made product, but didn't fit my older 5-cell Maglite. The manufacturer was very responsive to this issue and tried to help in every way, but didn't offer to return it so basically, I'm out the money.

The brightness of this product is terrible. I think that I would get better light out of a match. This was not a cheap product and when I took it out of the package, I had high hopes. It looks very high quality. It installed easily as well. The light was so dim, that it is essentially useless. I went to return it and found out that I have to pay to ship it back! What a bad joke! UPS said they would charge more than twice the price of the item to ship it back! I am furious, about this experience. I hope it is just a faulty unit but I have no desire to request another one, it took over a month to arrive. I can purchase a brand new Mag Light rechargeable for nearly the same money.

Ok. This took a while to receive because of COVID 19 shipping delays. However, it was worth the wait. These are excellent. I bought three and revived three old incandescent MagLites that were about to go in the trash. I love them! They are super bright and 500ft is no problem.

Easy swap out from factory bulb. Nice fit and finish. Bright as expected for the price, not cheap but value oriented. Switch system converted to multifunction without user need to do anything. Worth it if you want to bring new life to a 40 year old flashlight like I did.

This is a great conversions for and D cell maglite. Its bright. Only down fall you cant adjust beam. But still a good product. Have bought 2 for 5 Dell and 6 D cell maglites.

To be honest I work with light everyday, I have plenty of lights and well I bought this to give an old Mag Light a second life, Dud!! for the price I could have bought 2 lights that was as bright as this was listed to be? New light is not much different than the 20 year old incandescent it replaced. To ask to rate on life span is strange when most LED should last 50,000 hours minimum and ratings are done days or weeks after purchase.
