A highly recommended, cost effective solution if you want to protect your critical data
Purchased upon the recommendation of my Son in law, an IT Tech who uses one for his home system. We had configured a NAS archiving system for me (similar to his) based on the Synology Network Attached Storage system. He mentioned that his UPS had failed to protect him during a power outage since he had not time changed his system battery, resulting in having to do an extensive disk checking exercise by his system. He indicated that these UPS system were the best, but you do have to maintain them. So I bought and configured one- three weeks later a wicked thunderstorm came through the area- The computer I was on was power surged, shut down and had to disk check (it was not on UPS) (It is now) But my NAS worked through out it all with nary a hickup. I have since put my critical router and (non-critical but important) Computers on it, and set up a time change for the battery 4 years from now. I now have 4 TB of info riding on the NAS, so I am sure counting on this - SO far so good- As he mentioned and I was not aware of- the UPS has a port that communicates with the NAS and tells it to go into safe shut down if the power is going down- a GREAT FEATURE!!!

Home Theater Power Glitches Are A Thing Of The Past
I have a large bookshelf with a large screen flat TV, a family theater amplifier, a cable box, and a DVD player. My problem was with power glitches. You know the type that makes you reset your clocks, takes 10 minutes to reboot your cable box, several minutes to reboot your TV, and leaves you dead in the water.I've used APC UPS's for years for the electronics in my office, and they've been stellar. I purchased the BE600M1 to use on my bookshelf once before, and it lasted about four years before it died. The BE600M1 UPS doesn't have enough power to run everything for any length of time, but the momentary power glitches are a thing of the past.

Does what it needs to do effectively
We live in an area that regularly loses power during big storms and were tired of losing our tv and Internet… and the important storm info we get from them. This UPS fits the bill perfectly. Router and hub are permanently plugged into it and we have not lost connection even when the power was out for nearly a day. It’s smaller size means it’s not so intrusive though it does limit how many things it could power… not a problem for us.

Life saver
Have ordered multiple of these as we have several storms that have ruined electronics before. Not a worry anymore. Great for the price and helps everything to keep running.

APC is a very well known product with a highly positive reputation
I thoroughly researched various brands to protect my computer, monitor and printer. I have previously owned an APC surge protector/battery back up and because I was already familiar with the product, I opted to purchase again and I am very happy I did. It's a quality product with a stellar reputation. My unit was shipped in a timely manner. While I have not had any power issues since purchasing it, I feel very confident that my unit will protect my computer. I am very pleased with how the item was shipped and I would recommend this brand.

Let it charge
Don't know why I waited 20 years to buy a UPS for my setup. This one does the trick on a budget.Note that if the load is too great then the unit WILL let you know with a very annoying alarm. Give a while to charge, and be mindful of the power drawn from it while under load.

Doing its job over 5 years (with same battery, if that counts)
It's now April 2025. This is the kind of thing where a review put off for a sufficient time could be of extra value. When I bought this unit in December 2019, I immediately put it into use . It's still using the same battery, and maybe that has something to do with charging management. I don't know. Anyway, I have not had any operational problems in any sense. Of course I figure the battery can't last much longer, but the unit is supposed to give warning when the battery loses some measure of capacity (giving one time to replace), so I'll just keep on giving it the chance to do that.

This UPS is NOT a PoS.
I bought this UPS as part of a two-pack deal. It runs my entire IT system: desk tower, modem, router, two monitors, auxiliary speakers. Spring weather in these parts is unpredictable, and I wanted to be ready. Sure enough, after a few weeks "on the job," the system was tested. Close to a dozen power flickers and outages overnight. Not one hiccup on the computer. I'm very happy with this product.
