water guage
The unit, mod. 500, seems pretty decent. Exhaust air is approx. 10* cooler than room temp at 7-10% humidity. I would of expected it to be more quiet in operation but it is acceptable. The person who had to beat the wheels in with a board doesn't understand, push, click..My biggest complaint is the ridicules water gauge down at floor level. The person who designed that thing should be fired. Us old farts have a hard time getting not only down to the floor but back up so I just add water as I think is needed. A simple float and rod would put the gauge window just below the exhaust fins and easily accessible. A useable water gauge would of earned you a five... Thanks.

DON'T buy this product or you will be very, very disappointed.
I wish I could give it a 0 rating. This cooler is so poorly designed. To check the water level you have to get down on your knees because it is situated at the very bottom of unit. Instruction manual leaves out most important directions. I had to call the company twice before even running it. First call was to find out if there was a trick to inserting the casters. No, helpful answer. Manuel says to push in caster until you hear a click. So I first tapped them with a hammer, hitting harder and harder each time. Then I got a block of wood and hit hard. No luck, so, so I find a block of wood with a handle on it and beat each castor really hard, over and over again until they finally "snapped in", now there's the joke. Second call was to locate the water level window. I hung up right after the tech said he couldn't find it either. And, to top it off it doesn't cool that much even when you put ice in it.

Pump died after only 7 months of use
I only used this for three months in the summer. I was very careful to maintain it per the specifications. The pump died during the 7th month of use. No replacement parts are available. Customer Service gave me a phone number for a bogus authorized service center. Complete piece of junk.
