Crystal Clear Water
This thing has made owning a pool a breeze. The Surfer S2 does its job well at an affordable price compared to competing products. I did the initial charge and it’s been cleaning the pool ever since. The solar charging (in sunny SoCal) keeps the battery topped off which lets it run all day and night. There was a short period where one of the motors malfunctioned but a quick message to customer service resolved the issue and it’s been working like a charm. Based on the experience, I’ve opted to buy some of their other products. Really enjoy owning Aiper products so far.

Excellent time saving skimmer
So far I am very very impressed with this skimmer. I had 2 different Betta skimmers before this one. The 1st Betta worked really well but burned out in less than a year. The 2nd one I got let most of the debris back out when it reversed rendering it useless, so I returned it. This skimmer is built in a manner that doesn't allow the debris to back out. It is doing really well at collecting fine surface debris which is my biggest issue. This skimmer is also very quiet. As opposed to my 1st Betta, this one can charge through the solar panel and also has the option to charge with a power cord. So far, it is staying well charged just through the solar panel alone. We are in Florida so I do plan to remove it during the hottest part of the year and only put it in the pool a few hours before we plan to swim. Hopefully, this will extend the life of the skimmer. I feel this skimmer is worth the price due to the time saving factor and the quality of its performance.

Excellent experience
Excellent robot. Performs as advertised. Quick setup and beautiful design. Totally impressed. I wish I had discovered this product years ago. I live in northern NJ and the leaves and debris have always been a problem for my inground pool. This bot is now keeping my pool clean like I never could. The hybrid solar and electric charging is awesome. Fair price. Big fan!

Pretty good
I aim to leave genuine reviews that are not over inflated. This is a pretty good product that does a great job skimming and retaining what it skims. It runs without intervention. Feels like it needs at least one more iteration to be a polished product but it seems to be pretty good as is. I've had it 10 days now.Its easy to use. I gave the initial charge and dropped it in the pool and it runs constantly. However, it does require an app to access additional features which is a massive downside to me. Browser access is fine, but do not ask me to install spyware on my phone or agree to unfavorable licensing agreements to access ALL of MY purchases capabilities. These additional features aren't something I've missed so far. From a gee-wiz perspective, I'd like to see a state of charge indicator.Does it work? You bet. I have a screen enclosure so most of what I see in the pool is noseeums and fine dust with only an occasional leaf. It catches and retains it all, even the fine dust. It got stuck on a step once but I lowered the feet and have not had another problem. It was also getting stuck on the pools skimmer occasionally so I just redirected the pump to draw more from the main drain which solved that problem rather than using the skimmer noodle which comes with the robot. My biggest complaint: Paver coping protrudes a bit over the waterline... the wheels on the corners of the robot do not stick out far enough and they are not tall enough to protect the robot from scraping its sides on the coping. It remains to be seen how it will hold up over time. Being out in the sun all day in a saltwater/chlorine pool is a lot to ask of both plastic and metal parts. It will be interesting to see if it ever needs replacement parts, if they are available, and at a reasonable price. How maintenance friendly it is will be an important consideration for me. I'll be especially interested to see how the fairly complicated debris basket holds up and what its replacement cost is. This is bound to be a wear item.

Finally, the pool cleaner I really needed. Perfect!
I've had this for about two weeks now and it's been a game changer. I used to spend about 20 minutes scooping leaves out every time I went to use the pool as I have a lot of trees and leaves and pine needles constantly falling in the pool. Once I put the Aiper in the pool, I have not had to scoop leaves out at all. The pool remains really clean and without all the leaves, my polaris has less work to do as well.Took it out of the box, dropped it in the pool, set up a schedule and have not had to do anything other than empty the basket every few days. No issues with it getting stuck on my steps or by the skimmer. I have a 50x20 inground salt water pool that runs up to 10 feet deep and this has done a good job randomly roaming about and covers the entire pool. The app/remote works well also although I have not had to use it much. The solar charging is really good and have not charged it at all. I currently run it about 10-12 hours a day and it keeps the pool clean and has not gone below 70% charge yet. I hope the battery quality is good, not sure if it can be changed but it has really covered my needs well so far and I am very happy with it.One suggestion would be to have the ability to set a pattern, currently it runs randomly and it does cover the entire pool but a part of me always want to control it more. I have used the remote to sometimes steer it to some spots when I'm being impatient. Unnecessary I know but just another cool thing if it could handle preset patterns.
