BLEACH Rebirth of Souls PS5

Simply put this game is what the standard for anime based fighters should be. It is incredibly stylish with its visuals and fantastic ost. A nice roster of 30 characters that covers mostly every important event in the story (only the vizard are lacking in presence) that all play uniquely different to each other to be worthwhile. The big factor here for you is gameplay. Despite being a 3d anime fighter this game feels more like a 2d fighter with 3d movement, specificaly more like a older street fighter with slower overall pacing and emphasis on spacing and footsies. This means the use of dashing, teleporting, canceling feels more important then in most anime arena fighters. It feels so far that this game has a surprising amount of depth despite characters having a small moveset. Each character has a light and heavy chain that can be mixed up after around the 2nd hit, 2 special attacks that may or may not change after a transformation (every character has at least 1 transformation/powerup state) a button based grab/guard break, a teleport, a guard burst, a cancel, and lastly a burst state that makes combos easier to chain. These systems come together to form the games rock-paper-scissor flow of combat. Unfortunately this is also a double-edged sword because if you want just a fun button mash arena fighter experience this might not be your cup of tea. All in all I think if you are a fan of Bleach you will love the style and flare of this game even if the gameplay needs you to invest a bit more then a normal arena fighter.*I bought this game purely for the offline content so unfortunately I cannot comment on the online experience.

Absolutely love this game, it’s definitely what I’ve been looking for in a Bleach game for a long time.

Love the game, yea, like all the games, it needs updates to fix some glitches and bugs.. But still so fun to play.. And by the way, the code comes by a Amazon email not inside the case.. Check your inbox!

This game is very good, specially for Bleach fans. The graphics are stylish, even the menu screens. My only complain is that during fights it doesn't look as sharp as scenes. Kind of a bit grainy.The game has a full story mode, training mode, mission mode and online. The battle music is great and keep the action interesting.My only dissapointment is the game disc casing. It has overplastic, clearly a manufactyring defect. Might ask for a replacement but this is not Amazon's fault. Beware, check your game disc case for defects.

It was a birthday present and he played it all day. It was well worth the purchase.

**WARNING** If you are a physical game collector this game requires a download to play the story mode even though nothing is said on the box. So eventually when update servers go down this game will be incomplete. I returned the product for this reason as I feel like this is false advertising by omission.

Battle system is probably the best of any arena fighter I've played, but it got repetitive after a bit. I just didn't find much to do. There's nothing satisfying to unlock or work towards. Would be nice if there were characters, outfits, moves or something to unlock.

Pro: Bleach game in 14 years. Con: Didn’t come with a DLC as advertise. Will not give this game a five star review because of Bandai Namco’s negligence.
