Silent PSU for ITX NAS
This is a great power supply for my new NAS/Media Centre. I have yet to hear the fan come on at all, the hard drives are the only thing I hear. It comes with a ATX adaptor, but this does not allow the PSU sit on the floor of my particular case, I bought the SilverStone SST-PP08 SFX to ATX PSU Converter - Black to solve this and you get a better clearing between the PSU and HDDs mounted above.System is:Fractal Node 304Asrock J4205-ITXSyba 4xSATA Expansion Card2x SSD (OS & Cache)6x 4TB HDD (Stablebit Drivepool)18w idle, 40w (drops as the unneeded drives turn off)

Excellent
Not sure what other reviewers have done to this PSU but I have found it to be nice and quiet with plenty of juice to run an i5 and Nvidia 1660 super which is powering my VR setup from a mini case. Noise is my enemy with a PC build and using a smaller case is always a problem but not with this one. Sure it ramps up a bit when full on gaming but I'm in the zone at that point and don't care. If you need a 450W SFX supply, go ahead and get it.

Solid and powerhouse of a SFX PSU
Picked up the SST-SX700LPT to go into a mini-ITX build and thus far doing the job perfectly fine. With 700w the unit is capable of feeding most CPU and GPU combinations around and for most the at much less then its rated capacity for typical parts so works fine in that regards. This unit is of course the slightly longer SFX-L and the extra housing is used to accommodate a larger 120mm fan. For most the part under low loads the fan does not spin at all (provided it also has adequate airflow) and only when it gets hotter under a load such as gaming, will the fan spin up, though to be honest even then, its fairly inaudible to me.There are plenty of cables included of the flat ribbon variety and thankfully this time unlike my last purchase of a SFX silverstone PSU, they actually include a UK model kettle lead. Oddly unlike with the 500w SFX-L unit from Silverstone also, they have not included a SFX to ATX power bracket, so you will need to buy one if you plan to eventually put into a ATX case, something that would make more sense with a 700w supply over a 500w supply to be honest.Anyways, it does what it says on the tin. If I did not have the custom sleeved cabled, I think I may have looked at the 600w corsair SFX unit to be honest, as its much cheaper yet looking at online review's (JonnyGuru) and the like performs even better in area's like ripple and 600w is adequate for most builds.

Bought a Corsair PSU
Hi, I built a decent SFF computer in June 2020, powered it with a SilverStone SST-SX800-LTI - SFX-L. Sixteen months later I've had to replace my Silverstone PSU, with a Corsair (SF 750 Gold). Problems started three months ago when my main windows drive, Sabrent 1TB Rocket Nvme PCIe 4.0 M.2 failed, with no prior warnings. Next to go was my Corsair Vengeance LPX 32 GB (2 x 16 GB) DDR4 3600, which failed abruptly, no warning signs again. My cooler (Kraken NZXT Z63) partially failed, the pump still works but the interface is faulty and won't display anything on the LCD. An internal USB (PSU powered) hub stopped working, didn't replace that. There was always an issue when gaming, the computer would hard shut down, 2 or 3 times an hour. To restart the computer I had to power drain the PC, annoying to say the least. Contacted the vendor I bought the PSU from but they couldn't do much as it was out of warranty. Regardless of warranty I would have thought the PSU would have lasted longer than 14 months of medium usage. Now, it's hard to troubleshoot power supply problems, the symptom's of hardware issues could be for many reason's. The only way for me to connect my hardware failures to my "suspected" faulty PSU, was to buy a new one, which I did, Corsair. I don't want to give negative feedback but if you're having hardware issues similar to me, then please check your PSU.Regards to all.

Amazing SFX-L PSU.
I was wary of buying this after many complaints about noise for the V1.0 but it seems like they've done away with the hybrid mode and just have the fan constantly on but it spins at such a low RPM you cannot hear it over anything else.I'm all about low noise computing and this is definitely the most silent in my system (well apart from my SSDs).I have an i7-4790K paired up with a GTX970 and they draw a little over 250W from the wall at max load and this PSU never breaks a sweat and doesn't feel hot and never spins up, even in my lovely looking but poorly ventilated Jonsbo UM3X case.

Nice but crazy loud PSU
Nice compact PSU which fits nicely in even the most cramped chassis. The big problem with it is the truly crazy noise levels it puts out. Running with an ARM board with a single NVMe drive (probably about 70-80w) the noise output is easily the loudest component in my entire rack. It's worse than a graphics card under full load .. and I can hear it in the next room. If you buy this you need to factor in another 10 or 11 ukp for a silent fan. I recommend the noctua NF-A4-10.

Power to the product!
The Silver Stone SST-ST4SSF v 3.- SFX Series....., was the choice as the power supply for the building of a completely new computer system. It sat alongside a number of other Silver Stone products chosen for the purpose. There have been no regrets at the choice of brand and this power supply is no exception. The power supply is highly efficient, easily fitted (into the Silver Stone computer cube box), noise free and good value for money. It is a most appropriate power supply for the product.

Easy install and as 'silent' as you would reasonably need
Office pc had a very noisy psu fan so thought I'd give this a shot looking for as close to silence as possible on a budget.Straight forward fitting, came with a plate which my case needed as the old psu was larger (as well as whooshing like a hoover). Switched on and I have to admit that I initially thought it wasn't powering as there was no sound at all but pc booted and works perfectly. The thing is genuinely silent - at least within reasonable parameters. Highly recommended for modestly spec'd pc's.
