Whiteside Router Bits 1500 V-Groove Bit with 90-Degree 1/4-Inch Cutting Diameter and 1/8-Inch Point Length

I am still a bit new to my CNC but I have already used this bit many times. Works just as I need it to and is holding up great.

This bit is the truth. I bought two of them off the top because I had a feeling it would be solid. I do quite a bit of chamfered edges on 1/8 deep cuts (cnc) and this thing just cuts as clean as a whistle. I also ran this as an engraving bit for short as well as deep cuts and talk about precision.. big fan of whiteside. The bit is on the shorter side but that doesn't bother me at all with my machine setup. I'm probably gonna order five more of these.

Good bit, nice and sharp

Whiteside makes great bits, and the advertised dimensions are correct; I just didn't focus on how short it actually is. I used it in a horizontal router table made from 1/2" birch ply, and it was barely long enough to reach through to the workpiece. All this geometry can be known in advance, so be sure to check it.

Great bit for the money. I purchased this bit for use in making router-carved signs, and it has functioned exactly as expected in this application, and I'll purchase again as needed. Some of the product photos were misleading on Amazon, so I've included one of my own. This is a two-flute bit 1-1/2" in total length and 1/4" diameter the entire length. Cutting diameter is also 1/4" and it produces a 90° V-groove. Some photos show this with a much larger cutting point, which is incorrect.

Engraving in 6061 aluminum no problem with this bit on my proverxl cnc with a dwp611. Even with aggressive settings the bit shows very little wear

I do wood signs and this is perfect. Always have good experience with whiteside.

I tried it out this morning, as I have been using the less expensive brands to get use to them. This bit is nice and sharp and cuts with very little clean up afterwards. Will see how well they hold up over time.
