Makes wiring a trailer a hell of a lot easier

Easy to install. Ended up using this item myself as a snow plow light wiring junction box watertight, so can we use for multiple uses other than trailers.

Product was easy to install. Love everything is neat and tidy in the box. Wiring colors are not “color to color” match. But the instructions were accurate. Follow them -but take note if you have surge brakes! (I have a 7-pin, trailer with surge brakes.)Boat Surge Brakes - I hooked the blue actuator wire to the blue brake wire in the box. But my boat brakes locked up in reverse. UGH. Here’s the fix (if, like me, you didn’t realize the issue…)You have to hook the blue wire from your surge brakes actuator to the REVERSE LIGHTS terminal inside the box. This will ensure your actuator gets constant power when backing up, to override the actuator. (Otherwise, the actuator will only override when you press the brake pedal. Then if you take your foot off the brake pedal, the actuator will kick in and lock up your brakes. AH HA! Moment for me!!)Again-Wire the blue actuator wire to the reverse lights terminal inside the box for surge brakes.Note: if you have electric brakes, wire your blue brake wire to the blue electric brake terminal inside the box like normal. This way, the brakes will engage only when you press your brake pedal.

It appears to be a good product, but the wiring is not in conformance with standard trailer configurations so all have to be cross referenced and checked with a meter or tester to ensure proper operation. Workable though, but slows the install process quite a bit. The white ground and trailer blue wires are the only consistent wiring set ups.

Super robust product. However the wire colors differ from American industry standards. Asl long as you know what position the wires go in for which function you will be fine. If you only know color for color? You will need to look up how to wire a seven pin trailer lead…

Great setup. Works perfect. The only minor complaint I have is it should come with drain holes in the bottom corners. I’ve had a little water accumulate in the box so I drilled tiny drain holes in the corners and problem solved. It isn’t the worst idea to make your connections and spray a light film of wd-40 over them

Very well made with quality copper wire. Exactly what I needed, and does the job for what it was needed for. The only draw-back I have about it is that the 7 pin plug is a molded on plug, and not removable. Meaning, if the plug itself went bad, you would have to cut the plug off, and then install a new one. Other than that, it's a great unit at a fair price.
