The microscope work pretty good, although plastic covered frame seems to be very sturdy.

This is a brilliant microscope for use at home with it's own high quality screen.This is great for a child that is a budding scientist & will allow them to look & investigate many things.It's expensive but very well made & a quality bit of kit.

This is quite a specific item; not many people want or need a microscope, and it's much higher quality than a simple toy or equivalent.If this is something that you want or need, or are really interested in as a hobby, I think this is a wonderful pick-up. Comes with a standard 4, 10, and 40x zoom. 100x is really the one it's missing, meaning it's going to be pretty difficult to get a lot of detail on bacterial samples. However, for education purposed and most other things this is great.The image is super clear, and the included screen is so much easier to use than a classic microscope. The battery lasts some time, although it doesn't charge particularly fast. It's easy to set up and start using, and even includes 10 samples which are brilliant for showing off what this can do. You can save what you're viewing to an SD card and generally it's really cool. Would be nice to include a few spare slides for you to start using for your purposes immediately, but these aren't terribly expensive.It's mostly plastic on all its surfaces, and feels a bit less premium or heavy than a lot of classic microscopes, but honestly it's much easier to clean and does the job just as well. The actual parts that matter; lenses, clips, focus and stage all feel very well made and premium. It's very easy to focus very finely and is so intuitive.Overall a great item for anyone who works in an educational setting, or anyone who might want something like this as a hobbyist. My only real complaint is that the material used for the focus adjustment (some form of rubber or silicone) is a bit sticky, sort of similar to rubber or silicone that's been used in a kitchen or is super old. Your mileage may vary and as this is a review sample this might not be your experience. But functionally this is wonderful.

This is a truly fantastic microscope, and i find it hard to put into words just how much I love it.I had a microscope as a child that I loved, but it was an awkward affair with an eye piece and a mirror to collect light. This makes looking at samples a complete joy, with its huge screen and built-in light. And what's more, you can record what you're looking at and make videos, or use those videos as part of your project.Build quality is great. It's substantial, but well put together, and you get a nice carrying case. I also appreciate the included slides that let you get started in seconds, making it incredibly satisfying. For instance, the image in my photo shows the leg of a house fly, and there's just so much detail.This is great for kids and teens as a study aid, and adults who just want to learn about nature. Can't recommend it enough!

This digital microscope is actually fantastic yes the price point is up there but my days I wish this was around when I was at school purely because seeing things up close and the finer details blows my mind to say the least.you do get sample slides included which are all amazing to give a foundation the smaller cells and detailing such as the blood you can literally see the red blood cells individually which is incredible.For any science lover or even someone into bugs and stuff this is a great piece of kit to use, it is abit finnicky on first use basis but once you get used to it you'll be able to take pictures and record to your hearts content of your own personal finds which brings me to one thing I do wish some blank slides were included for your own samples to be made with but these are a purchase separately basis.Hands down I would recommend reasons stated in the review.

I was unable to magnify random bits of paper that I found. I just couldn't get it to focus.But the included slides looked excellent.Its battery, which charges when you plug in the included USB-C cable, is a feature I love. Its replaceable. It looks like a big chunky 18650 battery.Note that this microscope does not come with a wall plug; however, you almost certainly have at least one for your smartphone.Primarily composed of plastic, it almost resembles a toy. That said, the plastic makes it very light—it is so easy to carry around in the included case!I am reducing my rating by a star because it is so pricey!
