Look how crooked the LED is. $100? nah. With a $15 discount? Still nah.edit: I set up a return but didn't get the return label I was supposed to so Amazon just credited me. As such, since it was free, I decided to set it up.My model flawed? Yes. But it's also awesome to the point that if I had set it up in the first place, I probably wouldn't have set up the return. Maybe i would have ordered a replacement instead still. Anyway, it looks great, the animation looks great. Cool features. You can set up your own gifs or jpgs to host which is awesome.Setup is pretty easy with their guide but I wouldn't give this to my mom with the expectation that she'd figure it out. She definitely wouldn't.It would be cool if you could customize more but it seems like they're still adding stuff as the firmware I updated to was released about 2 weeks ago.I tried to track down the seller to pay for it (w/ a discount for the defect) but have been unsuccessful. If you are reading this seller, I will happily send some funds your way. Very cool product.

I was looking for something cool to show the time and stock symbols in my home office. The as-shipped version of the firmware is very very buggy and I was going to return this device. The documentation list an email address, and I sent them email and got responses within 1 business day. Once I received the new firmware version, (1.0.15) it was night and day difference. It still has quirks, but is working well enough now that i am going to not make a return. The developers were interested in the bugs and are already working on some changes. Prior to upgraded firmware, it would a) Randomly reboot quite often b) Had a horrible time connecting to Wifi c) Lose wifi settings quite often.What I discovered is that it's not friendly with a Mesh home network and will often join the SSID you picked, but the one not nearest you. So you get horrible wifi. I was able to resolve that by using the Mesh software and forcing it to join the closest access point. The developers are making a change in the next release that will have the device always use the matching SSID with strongest signal.For this price point and with the most recent firmware, I do recommend this device. I am looking forward to the next release which seems like it will resolve the little issue that remain.Hardware: ***** Software: *** 1/2

Nice hardware, seems well built. I have the latest firmware, but the software is so buggy it's not usable at all. Keep getting network errors, web interface doesn't response, screen freezes, etc. I have factory reset it and started clean, same issues. It has a strong WiFi signal. Now I can't even get it to respond. So far, software is terrible. I will keep updating this review as it hopefully gets better. - Edit. Returned it. Software is terrible. Not stable enough to be usable. Don't waste your time with this one.

This is a great device. It comes loaded with features. Lots of options to display. The controls are easy to understand. This display is a standout art piece.

I ordered this to put on my desk at work thinking it would be a fun conversation piece. However our network rules at work won't let me connect this to our network, so I have it at home. It was a big pain to get connected to my home network. It has to be done through an IP address, which isn't a bit deal, but it will only connect to a 2.4ghz network. My home network automatically switches between the two, and so I couldn't get this unit to connect. I ended up having to go into my router, and set it into a special connection mode I didn't even know it had in order to get this to connect. Once I finally did get it to connect to my network, I was disappointed to find that it won't scroll through the different screens. It will only stay on whichever screen you choose. So throughout the week I have it on the stock/crypto ticker, and then on the weekend I switch it to show the weather (when I remember to switch it). It also has the wrong time zones, I live in EST, but the time was wrong, so I ended up having to set it to Atlantic time or something like that to get it to show the correct time. Overall, it is a neat little gadget, but in my opinion not worth the $100 price tag (at least when I ordered it).

The LED matrix is a bit misaligned with the frame but is ok, set up was not to bad but did have the pc saying connection refused a few times, soon got in, lots of settings to choose from as easy to setup once in, pretty sure its just an esp32 inside but the matrix and materials used make up for the cost, it is sturdy, probably a ready made frame but is aluminium with nice back plate and built in wall hangers if needed, I would have like to have seen an extra function where it can show a clock and then swap to crypto/stocks and back again. its one or the other plus there's a weather and images part too. and does come with a manual.
